TOPIC | Video Game Suggestions?

I've been streaming on Twitch a fair bit recently, but I'm thinking about giving my schedule a bit of a theme and starting to compile a list of games I could play in the future. I'm willing to try anything, even if it's just for a bit on stream. Problem is, there's SO many choices that I'm not sure what I'd like to look at.

Right now we're playing Pokemon Crystal on my channel, and I have Pokemon Snap for the future. I also want to keep doing main-series Pokemon games from each gen (R/S/E, D/P/Pt, BW, ect). Maybe the Mystery Dungeons too? I have some games in mind like Spyro, Banjo Kazooie/Tooie, and Donkey Kong, but I want to plan ahead a tad.

Does anyone have any game suggestions and could help me out? I'd love any and all suggestions; best game you've ever played, ones you liked but weren't your favorite, worst game ever made... even ones you've heard have a good/bad reputation even if you haven't played them for yourself! Just some suggestions to get me started would be amazing (I'm already reading a ton of articles on google but it'd be awesome to get some personal suggestions too!).

Thanks in advance c:

((PS I forgot to mention that I'm surviving streaming on Roms and PC games at the moment, but once I get the cash for capture cards and actual games, I'll use the actual consoles. I know roms are limiting and also not particularly legal so I want to change that asap but money is an object. That's why I'm looking for suggestions so I can plan ahead.))

Undertale and Life is strange! Especially undertale.

Legend of Zelda and Okami are pretty good! Twilight Princess and A Link Between Worlds are my favorite Zelda games. And definitely do the mystery dungeon games! Sky is my favorite, though I like Gates as well (and a new one is coming out in November!!!). Pokemon Rangers is also pretty good, though I've only played Guardian Signs.

As for streaming many popular videogames being streamed are ones that are constantly changing or evolving, say multiplayer based games due to new players and matches each time or roguelikes, for example the Binding of Issac (most popular roguelike being streamed I believe.) due to the randomization of the levels and items. The constant changing nature of these games means there is always something new meaning they don't really get stale to certain people. (Seriously there's some people that freaking live off of the binding of Issac and got like over 2000 episodes of it on youtube or something.) This also includes games like Mario Maker. Games where you have to make choices are also decently popular. (Tales of... series.)

However what is the absolute most important is you and how interesting you are to listen to (and/or watch sometimes.) so even if you don't want to play anything like I just said then feel free to take it as a grain of salt.

As for games I would personally suggest Divinity Original sin: Enhanced Edition (JUST came out, Divinity Original sin was already great and you got the Enhanced Edition for free if you own the original makes it a great and easy time to pick up the game again and show off the changes to new people.)

Dark Souls games and people running through them for the first time are always worth watching and are definitely fun as long as you can stand being punished and destroyed over and over and over again, but you know you can push through it.

It should be noted that I based my suggestions on what I think people would want to watch, I didn't just simply list out my top 3 favorite games or whatever. If I did I would've recommended a completely different list. XP

Any of the Metroid series-but I certainly recommend Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, hell the Metroid Prime Trilogy and Metroid Fusion. Okami too, but someone else already recommended it. There's also Legend of Zelda Wind Waker.

What do Shiba Inus~ like to dream about? Is it dancing Hainus?
I'm going to recommend Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. (PSP remake is alright but I'd spring for the ps1 version.) Honestly just about any Sonic game past the genesis era, and shovel knight.

@Tsuriruto: I've been hearing great things about Undertale, so when I have the extra cash to spend, I'll definitely pick that up! Life is Strange.. I've watched part of a lets play on Youtube and I actually am not really that interested in it. It doesn't seem like a bad game, just something about it isn't striking a chord with me. Might be the interactive-story type style. Either way, thanks for the suggestions! Definitely gonna check out Undertale :)

@Vrykolakas: AH! The Zeldas! I forgot I could stream them xD The Zelda series is one of my favorites! Your suggestions of your favorites got me thinking, though, that playing some of the older ones that I never finished/tried like the original game or the Oracles. Could do a series on the channel of just Zelda games. Maybe like one day a week we work on a Zelda title. You got me thinking now XD

I forgot there was a new one coming out! gonna have to get a capture card to do the newer games >.> I played whichever Ranger was the one that you got Manaphy from... they were pretty ok! thanks for the suggestions and getting me some good ideas to brainstorm :P

@Shoey: the first thing I played on my channel was Eldritch, which was a randomized rogue-like in case you haven't heard of it. I kinda figured those kinds of games would be good, so I definitely won't rule them out! I just want to play a ton of games. Any kind. Good, bad, meh. I want to try lots of games since I haven't really played that many. Money has been an obstical so most of my game experience is Nintendo. And even then, I haven't played too many. So I'm very open to any type of game x)

I'll check out Dvinity Original Sin and Dark Souls too. I've never heard of Divinity Original sin but it sounds interesting, and I know Dark Souls is hard but great according to fans!

Thanks for your suggestions and your streaming tips! I'll take them into account as I work on my channel schedule :)

@ashotinthedark: Oh! Metroid! Yea I want to play those! Samus is one of my favorite characters in Smash but I've never played any of her games! D: Thanks for recommending a couple! I've played Okami a few times and I probably won't play it on stream until I get a capture card for my Wii.

If you can chance across them, the Panzer Dragoon games are amazing. AMAZING. They're acclaimed, but it seems very few people I know of has played any of them. The most recent/easiest to find is Orta, but I think there's now a working ROM of Saga? Which is the only way to play it unless you want to pay three hundred bucks for it (which would explain why nobody has it).

Additionally, the Legacy of Kain games. Ho. Ly.

It's vampires that don't sparkle, ghosts that do, and Shakespearean actors talking all fancy about fate. Also the first game in the series is unintentionally hilarious at times. Still, really good.

One of my favorite games to revisit from time to time would have to be Oblivion, more specifically the Shivering Isles add-on. Oblivion itself is a fantastic game and the dlc Shivering Isles is amazing! The landscape is beautiful, monsters are interesting along with the quests and characters you meet. Heck, I'm sure a significant number of Elder Scrolls fans would agree that Sheogorath is one of the best Daedric Princes (by far the most entertaining). If you haven't yet you should really play that, oh, Skyrim too! :)

The newest FNAF is pretty dang good as well, if you like jumpscares n' stuff. The games lore is pretty crazy and if you're into scary stuff you'll enjoy it quite a bit!

Finally, the second Darksiders game is really fun, the gameplay itself is really fluid and actually pretty interesting. I haven't actually finished that one but am closing in on the end (I think ^^").

Finally, if you're looking for a challenge there's always Dragons Dogma...Its fun but kind of intense at times. The monsters and creatures in the game are fantastic, the battle style is kind of like Shadow of Colossus at times. The character creation in Dogma is phenomenal, there's so many options! It's definitely one of the hardest games I've ever played, but still a good one.

Sorry that was so long, but yeah, you should check out those games! :)

Bastion, it's pretty good and has a really interesting story!

Also, if you do FPS stuff, I recommend the Borderlands series (though I can't say much about the pre-sequel) and Bioshock trilogy C:

Okami is really good if you have the console for it!
