TOPIC | What If?
What if when familiars are maxed out they could be used as a sidekick in the Coliseum so they're more useful than they already are

I participated in a suggestion for this a year and a half ago, but sadly, I can't find the thread. It was really detailed (I did a lot of thinking about it) but in the end, with the way coli is right now, familiars in the coli would either be overpowered or utterly useless.

EDIT: Found it!

@Incogniito

but like the logic behind it would be that their damage would be proportional to the dragons level and depending on the familiar they have different abilities for doing physical or elemental damage or even healing, but there would have to be something to even out how the familiars do things

If you read the thread, we got into that pretty heavily. Once your team gets up to like level 11, assuming you're using a glass canon build, fights become really repetitive and small amounts of damage don't help much. Like I said, the way coli is right now, any addition would either be overpowered at low levels, or useless at high levels, or both.

Without looking at the thread (I'm lazy) I just think it would be great if they could at least heal a little. Not a lot, but maybe just like 15% heal that can be used after a certain number of overall turns (carrying over through consecutive battles, like dragon breath) because even using the Culex build, I still find my dragons with low health sometimes, and it would just be great as a "safety button" of sorts.

I know exactly what you mean, and for that, I equip my dragons with sap. Functions as a small heal and a breath dump, since everything over 85 is wasted anyway if eleminate was the dragon's last move.

To be fair I only really go in the coli when there's no areas and for festivals lol... I haven't gotten around to getting sap yet, but I like the idea!

It's about 10k on the AH, cheaper if you can find it in the MP, and it's a worthwhile investment. Does the same damage as scratch, and your dragon heals 1/4 the damage done for a cost of 15 breath.
