If you like pet games like Flight Rising, check out Egg Baby. It's my favorite game I currently have on my phone, you basically have to feed and take care of cartoon eggs until they hatch. But there's also a fun Valenth-y aspect to it in that the food you feed your eggs and the items you use on them determine what kind of creature they hatch into, which each species having six different end results.
It's also really stable & glitch free and other then the occasional lag it's always performed well even on my dumb phone. The art is simple but cute and the flavor text is really funny. You do have to pay to unlock some of the later eggs, but there's also a lot of free/ingame currency ones and micro-transactions aren't especially emphasized.

pokemon shuffle is like artifracture but you catch pokemon with each stage and then use those newly caught pokemon to slap other pokemon and catch those.
there are special stages where you can catch legendaries like rayquaza and mew and there are timed expert stages with the legendary birds and mega starters.
you can download it on your 3ds as well.
monster galaxy exile is kinda cool too. it's a knockoff of pokemon with really pretty art and music. it's made by the creators of gaia online.

@gamekyubey I have some! I almost never play free unless there's a pay option to turn off ads, but that's just fine. Also I'm Android, but I'm pretty sure a good bit of these are also iOS.
King of Dragon Pass (mashup of things, a unique mix of RPG, strategy, text adventure; better version than the old PC one because it actually fits your screen)
Most of Kairosoft's stuff (simulation/management)
Riptide GP2 (racing)
Bloons TD5 (tower defense, monkeys popping balloons)
Rebuild 3 (city management/survival)
Pocket Tanks (tank strategy, think Scorched Earth)
Ticket to Ride (boardgame)
Great Big War Game (turnbased war game, basically an Advance Wars clone)
Pixel Dungeon (roguelike, open soruce so there's a ton of clones of it)
Bomber Friends (Bomberman, but online and with a reversi mode)

If DQVII's mobile port comes around along with 3DS it's most likely going to be great.)

As was said above Neko Atsume is really cute if you love cats and want a cute game that gives you the warm fuzzies. QuizUp is also a lot of fun with a very broad selection of quizzes to choose from and it's fun leveling up and getting different titles. There's also the standard Candy Crush, Bubble Witch, and Fruit Ninja. Attack the Light is also really fun and cute if you like rpgs and Steven Universe. The Walking Dead No Man's Land is also in the same rpg turn based style and is really enjoyable is you love TWD. I really like this fashion game called Covet where you buy clothes and dress up your "model" in them to fit various themes that you get money for doing are then voted on and you can get prizes if you win or premium currency (very hard but so satisfying when you do). You also level up in Covet to unlock more make up and hair styles to use. I really love it because it offers a wide variety of skin colors and hair types

I beat it all n' stuff but uninstalled it because of space Dx Also I don't have that walking dead game, but I do have the other one! I'll be sure to check it out because I'm a huge fan of everything walking dead

I beat it all n' stuff but uninstalled it because of space Dx Also I don't have that walking dead game, but I do have the other one!
