Do you guys have any weird phobias? For example vending machines, birds or closets?
I have one very real phobia for loose hair... It´s okay when hair stays on your body, but once it comes off I just want to puke. In kinder garden I had long hair, and whenever I got a hair in my mouth I threw up. Like, EVERY time.
Now I have really short hair, mainly to prevent long loose hairs in my bed and stuff, but it´s kind of hard to avoid. I go to a school where we learn theatre and dancing, and in our dancing classroom the whole floor is just covered in long hair... They never vacuum in there, and girls dance with loose hair, leading them to lose a lot of it while they dance. So when we dance on the floor I just start gagging because of all the hairs I feel...
I also have a small fear of toasters? It´s not a phobia, it´s just kinda scary the way they suddenly pop out when you least expect it...

Aren't phobias all weird and strange? I mean.. Its kind of what they are - irrational, weird, useless. I bet there is not one really sensical non weird phobia around XD
I don't have anything to weird I guess. Its spiders and anything to do with/looking like them for me. And we don't even have any dangerous ones where I live. The most dangerous spider we have is like.. Only dangerous to very old and very young people... when they have a heartsickness.

Funny you post this. I was just thinking that the gembond gene on here scares me a bit. I recently discovered that I'm Trypophobic-- scared of small holes. It's ridiculous because it makes my skin crawl.
I'm also scared of inflatables-- balloons, blow up pools, bounce houses. I'm especially terrified of those things when I imagine them outside while windy. It makes me anxious.

I'm slightly afraid of children.
And looking straight up. It's uncomfortable and when I look up outside I get lightheaded and scared. Yet heights don't bother me at all. Actually,I love being up really high and looking down.

I have a nasty fear of balloons, I can't be in the same room as one without panicking. So birthday parties aren't really that fun. I became scared of them whe I was 6 cause my dad wanted to play a 'joke' on me, so he snuck up behind me with a balloon and popped it really close to my ear. Thanks dad

Skystar I wasn't traumatized like you, but same fear. I went to Disney World once and I was on the bus back to our resort and there was a kid playing with a balloon basically in my face. It was awful. I don't like it when people touch balloons-- like kids manhandling them.

I have a fear of balloons. If they burst, I just can't handle the sound (same with all explosion type sounds tbh), and when I see a balloon, at this point I just assume someone wants to burst it, because that usually ends up happening.

I really hate cooking in the oven. To the point where if I bake a batch of cookies and there is no one else home to take them out of the oven I will let them burn. If my stepmom forces me to take them out I will have a panic attack or cry or whatever. Nope no baking for me thanks....

I'm scared by fire. My parents loved to scare me by saying "DON'T YOU EVER PLAY WITH FIRE, IT WILL BURN DOWN THE HOUSE AND YOU WILL KILL US!". I know their intention was good, but i think they could had handled it better. Anyways, even cigarates make me run.
