Example, what game have you ever played in a boss battle or something, and you hear the music, and just sit there listening to it? :P Honestly, for me, that'd be Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl-Decisive Battle The End of the World/A Tragic Struggle. It just sounds so awesome! SPOILER WARNING:I am kinda sad I had to fight M.I.K.E., though, but eh, I'm glad he agreed later on.

Anyway, here, you can post your favorite in game music you found while playing! :D Feel free to discuss game strategies as well, cuz wynaut. :3

Skyrim music makes me happy and calm because Skyrim is my "home" game. I like the Dragon Age Inquisition soundtrack a lot too.

but mostly video game music just makes me horribly sad and i have to lie down and count to ten

Bayonetta, Bravely Default, and Witcher 3 have some of my favorite tunes.

Animal Crossing music is also suuper relaxing and a favorite of mine for studying. I even have an extension on my chrome that plays time-appropriate Animal crossing BG music haha.

FFV.. clash on the big bridge's such an epic.

I'm a huuuuuuge sucker for Mega Man music, especially from Mega Man 9. <3 We're the Robots AKA Wily Castle 2 is my favorite song in the series by a landslide. Galaxy Man, Splash Woman, and Fake Man also have amazing stage themes.

Also Kid Icarus: Uprising's OST is criminally underrated. I could listen to Boss Fight 1 for hours and never get sick of it, The Reaper's Line of Sight is just plain epic, Mysterious Invaders is another favorite of mine, and of course there's Dark Pit's Theme and Lightning Battle!

The Touhou series also has a lot of songs I adore to bits and pieces as well, especially Imperishable Night and Perfect Cherry Blossom. Voyage 1969, Imperishable Night, and A Maiden's Illusory Funeral ~ Necro Fantasy are the ones that come to mind first!

Gosh, I could probably talk for hours about my favorite music, but I'm afraid I'm probably already going overboard. I haven't even gotten to Kirby, Pokémon, or the other Mega Man games, yet, but if anyone wants me to ramble a bit more for some reason, I can go ahead and share some more VGM that I love.

FFXIV and WoW. Especially Shiva's Theme from XIV and Nightsong from WoW.

Okami! :D I wouldn't listen to it casually or anything, but the music made the game so much fun to play and was really immersive.

The entire soundtrack to Arcanum: Of Steamworks And Magick Obscura is done by string quartet. I could sit by a fire for hours listening to the main theme.

Oh man, I love video game music, but my favorite OST is Shadow of the Colossus'. It really manages to capture the epic nature of the game.

Other favorites include basically every Pokemon and Legend of Zelda game, Skyrim (or anything by Jeremy Soule, really), Touhou, Okami, and the Ace Attorney series.
