One time my dog was walking under my feet while I was trying to make pasta and I splashed hot water on her and I cried for like an hour

Don't worry. Its more likely the shock from an unexpected 'ouch' than any form of missing faith. They'll get over it - usually pretty fast.

And yes.. Living with other living beaing always holds the risk of accidentally hurting them. My aunt once sat on my cousin cause he was faster to the chair and she had her back turned when she sat back down again. He cried a bit and she was so sorry...well you know how it goes. At the end of the day they were laughing again.

I once pulled my rabits ear while trying to grab his neck when he paniced because of a bird that flew overhead. With the panic and the hurt he didn't want to come out of his cage for the rest of the day - gosh I was so sorry and worried! The next day all was well again.

My cat... he just is a little trouble maker sometimes. At this point, he should have learned that if he zips in front of people, he is likely to be kicked if they are walking. I think he finds it more fun than painful, or else he would have stopped doing it.

(not my pet but i love him as much like he was mine, and i take care of him quite a lot.)

He kept walking around my feet as i did something (cant remember what) and i stepped on one of his tail hairs. The little sound of pain was heart braking and he was mad at me for like 3 min before jumping around like normal. I was sad for like an hour.

I've stepped on my cat a couple times because she thinks it's a good idea to lie in the shadow behind people. ;~;

I've stopped having those moments. My dogs insist on walking in front of me and sleeping under my feet. I also realized that they milk their "injuries" for all the attention and treats they're worth. So now my response is "Get out of the way if you don't want to be stepped on."

Once I tripped over my cat at the bottom of the stairs... whilst holding my other cat. It was not good.
