I swear every time I ask someone...they call me a kid but I mean...this game involves a lot of strategy... *incoherent mumbling.
So I was wondering who here actually likes to play Wizard101? I've been playing since...2008. (I was 10 years old, boy howdy.) and I was wondering if there's any fellow wizards out there?
My "main" character is a level 53 Life Wizard (Her level would've been higher if I didn't take a six year break from it. >>;;)
But I'm currently restarting with my sister. I'm at Krokotopia now. ^^ I'm currently a level 11 Life Wizard and my sister is a Level 9 Death Wizard (We just restarted yesterday)

Ahh I do! My friend made me get an account because she's really into the game and thought it would be a good way for us to hang out and do stuff together remotely. I ended up being the only one out of our friend group who actively played, mainly because I paid $10 for a stupid membership that was only a month long and I was going to get my money's worth. The game is a total money grab, but I've kind of fallen in love with it. XD My membership's expired now so I haven't played in a while but I'm a level 24 Myth Wizard and currently in Krokotopia. I finished all the quests in Wizard City before moving on, but I probably shouldn't have based on how hard Colossus Boulevard was. :P

Level 40-something Storm here! I actually prefer Pirate101 to Wiz: I have 2 max levels there, a Musketeer and Swashbuckler, plus a Privateer in the works. The Pirates combat system just suits me better. Now I mostly log into Wiz for gardening and pet training. Buuuut I can still talk a little about it.

I'm not sure how to explain it, but, the Wiz graphics are definitely more...saturated? The colours are much brighter. Maybe it's the lighting, I don't know. Hurts my eyes after a while. Pirates is slightly duller, but yeah, the graphics in Wiz up until Celestia are definitely not the best.

Hamamitsu Garden in Pirates. Definitely a difference in styles, even though canonically it's the same world.

The Botanical Gardens house from the Evergreen Bundle (bought it on sale). This is a really recent bundle so you can see a bit of the Pirates influence; darker, muted colours, better graphics.

Oh my gosh the faces. Wiz suffers from a horrible case of sameface, [i]literally[/i], because you have a choice of like, 3 faces. Pirates is a little better with the hair/eye style and colour options, but even then you can only have so many combinations.
[s]okay but have you seen those gorgeous capes on that one style of aquila gear in pirates. they flow in the wind. they FLOW IN THE WIND. i'd get a screenshot if it wasn't late here. and their animation when you do that dramatic critical strike pose is on point.

I love Pirate, a lot, I think im currently 58? maybe? but for some reason, the game always feels unfinished to me, especially in the newer worlds. Don't get me wrong, Mooshu in P101 is beuatufl, and my favorite area out of both games, but to me, Marleybone felt really lackluster.
As for Wizard, I literally just started playing again this week after a year hiatus I think? And im level 97 ish Myth, and will probably never restart on another charcter due to that one being 5 years old.
TL;DR : IVE PLAYED THE GAMES WAY TOO MUCH AND IT MAKES ME HAPPY TO SEE OTHERS WHO STILL DO
