Ugh, just ugh. I just finished re-watching the series with my brother, and I forgot how much it inspired me?
I watched it when it first came out two years ago, but I just love it soo much, and I feel like maybe writing this all out and chatting with someone about how much i love it will help. The huge amount of creativity that wen't into making it is miraculous, and it's really inspired me to get into drawing again, and also spurred my interest in animation a whole lot. I mean I've always been interested in these kinds of things, but I just really want to be able to create something as amazing as this series was.
So... Yeah. I'd appreciate anything, fangirling, theories, all of it.
And if you haven't the slightest idea what I'm talking about and would like to know, I will explain to you gladly.

ginkgobiloba I'm obsessed with Over the Garden Wall!!! Wirt is my son (jk) and I love Beatrice... I am all for the popular theory that the Unknown is the afterlife or somewhere between life or death.
OtGW is the best TV show I've ever watched for some reason. It's just so...dark and autumn-y in a non-terrifying way

GinkgoBiloba i saw it two times but now that it's autumn i GOTTA see it again i love the spooky vibes it gives and it just has a really lovely atmosphere?? Makes me want to steal my bff and go venture in the woods which is probably not as much of a good idea as it sounds But. The beast looks awesome and is actually pretty interesting so i wish we knew more but eH
Also the soundtracks dude. I have a thing for the one by Chris Isaak but all are great
Is this good enough

Watched the series so many times. Its my absolute faviorite little cartoon and I heard it took 10 years before being released. It reminds me of Gravity falls a lot (which I also loved). I wouldn't mind watching over the garden wall again. The classic like music is amazing as well and the charm of each character :D.

And this guy is absolutely perfect for the atmosphere and story...SO GOOD!
The best theory I have heard is that Greg and Wirt actually "drowned" and went to a place kinda like 'hell' where people needed to complete their life or fate such as Mr. Endicott finding the ghost to be a lady. and the gorilla to be that one teachers husband or whatever. Apparently it also stayed winter forever as in a sad gloomy mood being represented. and when it gets to a differnt season at the end (was it spring?) that means everyone fullfilled their life and or fate and get to live on to heaven. That is why Wirt and Greg finally return from drowning and are alive. When near gravestones it even says a characters name that was in that 'hell' atmosphere. which I think was Mr.Endicott.
I could rant much more but I think im good.
Also its artwork also inspired me a bit :D

I love otgw??you guys can all be my friends, yes sir. man, what a beautiful little thing for only being 10 episodes.
The thing was, when it first came out that november night i didn't care a thing about it but, however, when i was MEANING to watch gumball (which i heard, apparently is now to be canceled, maybe now or maybe soon. RIP. ;u; i will miss it), which would normally have been on at 7, i came to see this show. So nope. Wasn't thrilled until i kept watching it, now... It's one of my very favorites.
In fact if you go check my lair, i have a few fandragons. Beast, Greg, Beatrice and Adelaide who are ... Pretty much my very first fandragons (unless it was one of my Star ones).
Wirt is my favorite tho. I have a number of crushes on characters from a few cartoon and he is one of them. - u -
Favorite songs definately potatoes and molasses!! * v * its just so nice?? (Tbh i want my gen1 dragon who isnt even a fandragon to have a mate named Cream, after the one part of the lyrics "cream and candy rocks". ;
Theory? Mmh. The one where the Unknown is sorta an afterlife sorta place-- as said before, one of the dude's name was on one of the stones in the graveyard.
Another is.. I'm not entirely sure because i hadn't ever payed much attention to the other CN show Clarence (well, i'm pretty fine with it now) that, in the clarence episode, l'il buddy (i think that was
it?) that the brothers had appeared in the background for a smidge of time but im not sure if this is true or not cause i had not watched that episode. Round the end of Chapter 10, it DOES seem like the town does resemble the town in Clarence rather a bit if memory serves correct. I heard this on a youtube video.
OTGW also reminds me of Gravity Falls (2012-2016 never forget quq) which is another one of my favorites. Yeah.. I hope CN shows OTGW again;; it's nearimg Halloween, you'd think they'd air what they call a fall classic at some point this month! Just... Beautiful thing. I wish it was on more. Last time it was it was mostly on too late for me to finish on a school night.

Ohmygosh it's been 2 years? Oh my
Fell in love at the opening credits, I was so excited when I first seen the trailers. It was such a great little masterpiece of 10 episodes.
The music was my absolute favorite, besides being just so charming. And the way it pulled a viewer in. It was quite a journey watching it continue along, because you'd never think that this one thing would happen but it would. And beforehand it seemed like there was just so many mysteries hidden away. So may nooks and spaces to learn about throughout.
I absolutely adore Like Ships, Potatoes and Molasses, and Adelaide Parade. Not to mention the opening song. :3

That show messed me up so bad but I love like. Like while it has a happy ending, the final scene where the beast finally gets Greg haunts me cause it's so sad.
