as in like, beautiful graphics, nice scenery, etc I ask because I'm working on a photoset of sorts of really scenic zones/locations in a game I'm playing right now, Aura Kingdom. I reblog a lot of pretty screenshots on my blog, here's the tag [s]totally not shamelessly advertising[/s] so I'm just curious! it doesn't have to have perfect graphics either I mean, a lot of the worlds in Spyro for example are absolutely gorgeous even though the game's from the 90s. btw I may not ping and respond but I'm reading the replies regardless

If we can talk about board games, 'Tokaido' is legit the prettiest game I have ever seen. It's also a really calming game to play C:

@velvette Oh my goodness those screenshots are gorgeous.

To be honest, I really haven't played very many games myself, so I can't really say I've personally played any very pretty games. Although, I have watched someone play Firewatch, which was super pretty.

i'd say bloodborne, mostly because often the land seen in the distance is accessible, rather than just scenery.

mgsv also had some very pretty landscapes.

I've never played it myself, but I've watched play-throughs of Abzû-- and the graphics were fantastic!

There isn't a part of this game that isn't absolutely stunning.

Modded Skyrim definitely, in a landscape-y, impressive graphics sorta way.
Subnautica has some really neat areas too, though it never made me stop playing and think 'damn' like Skyrim does.
Actually this is going to sound absurd to many people but... Minecraft. Some mods and terrain generation make some really nice landscapes. Blocky yeah, but still pretty epic at times.

Ori and the Blind Forest is amazingly well drawn and beautiful to look at but since it's 2d doesn't have the same impact as a 3d open wold/sandbox game does, to me anyway. Braid too. Sunless Sea has a great style and really conveys just how otherworldly some of the locations are. both in imagery and text. Finding a new area is always neat and you never quite know what to expect from an unexplored area.
I've never played it myself but Rayman Origins looks really good as well.

I'm a huge fan of bright colors, so I loved Splatoon! The colorful world and all the unique graffiti art and the squids themselves were all so neat!

I also really loved Windwaker HD. I love most of the zelda games in general, but I think the one that amazed me the most graphically was WWHD. I don't know if it's just my general love of the bright colors or comparing the HD remake to the old gamecube version, but it was just such a pretty game right off the bat on Outset Island.

And of course, Journey. I only played through it once but it was just so pretty! The different landscapes you go through are all really unique and nice to look at.

@Ankokou

If you like Ori and the Blind Forest, have you checked out Song of the Sea? It's got a similar style all around, from the 2d scrolling platformer style to the narrative style. It's a very pretty game also!
