Personally, I'm a fan of the ancestor not-so-arc! I thought the concept was pretty cool, and I even have a fancestor dragon in my lair. His name's Arkkryen, check him out.

I never actually got around to reading the ending of Homestuck, now that you mention it, but I am excited to play Hiveswap! The fandom should pick up a bit again after it's released.

Well this is a surprise. Decided to check my FR account for fun (And maybe get back into it?) and a homestuck topic of all things is the first thing I see. I don't RP Homestuck but I have friends who will probably over pesterchum (One of them just keeps sending me Karkat gifs :P).

I'm still a fan of Homestuck, even if the fandom is dead T3T. I made ocs, and for a while, roleplayed as Feferi on another site. All the girl trolls are just really cool, I guess my favorite is probably Vriska for the time being ^^

I really enjoyed Homestuck. I like the humor and the characters are interesting for the most part. I appreciate that it's a unique and interesting approach to webcomics, and creative in concept. Its massive popularity had a huge impact on the internet in general and its community brought a lot of people together. Heck, I met my current girlfriend of 2 years on the fanmade Pesterchum app.
Now that I'm older though, I've looked into it more, took off my nostalgia goggles and I can't say that it's a good webcomic. Bear with me, 'cause I'm not saying it's bad, either. It's just so unnecessarily obtuse. Hussie's writing is good in the sense that he's got a lot of skill at foreshadowing and writing complicated plot lines, but it got so needlessly complicated that it tended to water down and overshadow the important parts of the story. Also, while I think God Tier was an interesting game mechanic, it took away any impact that any deaths he wrote in because (especially after the multiverse/time shenanigans were implemented) "oh, they'll bring back some version or another later on :l". After that I just kinda stopped caring about the characters, and my interest died before the end of the series.
Between the reasons I listed and the fact that it's a little tainted by my cringe-inducing junior high years, I just can't take it seriously anymore. I still really like the Felt intermission and the first and second act, mostly because they have the same simple yet interesting feel as the Problem Sleuth series. All that said, though, I still like to goof around with it and I catch myself making references every once in a while. I have a Doom aspect hoodie somewhere but I'll be goshdarned if I can find it.
