i always start with the head, i make a circle for the top and then draw the chin lol

Sometimes chest/torso usually when I'm drawing Transformers

I mark in where the head should be with a circle, but then I draw the torso and then the body/pose before heading back to the head.
Otherwise I get halfway through lining and realize the head is too big or too small for the body.

I usually start with basic shapes, circle for a head, rectangle for the body. It's makes it easier to mark out where the things overlap, or what it'll look like to make sure that my anatomy correct.
