The Papa's games. They didn't affect me as a child, but now they give me panic attacks.

I think it was called red rover? Ohmygod. It's like where you tackle like this other line of people. I was forced to play it on like class parties. It literally broke my arm when someone tackled me and another person's arm.

Charley Horse, where an adult would say "which horse won the race?" and I'd say "which?" and they'd say "Charley horse" and punch your leg so hard it numbed you.

We used to play this game called Bull Rush as kids, where we had to run from one end of a play area to the other without being caught by the Bulls. If you were caught by the Bulls, you also became a Bull. Sort of like tag but with more tackling involved.

The school banned it after a boy broke his leg playing it though.

[/quote] I used to play in summer camp and elementary a game called either Shark Tag or Octopus that was like this-- if a color was called by the shark/octopus that you were wearing, you had to run, and if they called "Shark" or "Octopus" everybody had to run- if you were caught you had to become "Seaweed" and stay in one place while trying to tag other players who are running past- I hated the game :'>

I actually liked the game because I was very slender and agile, even if not the fastest kid. Duck duck goose. I was always so afraid that some greasy little kid would smack me on the head hard enough to leave a bruise, scream "GOOSE!" in my ear, and then since I'm a slow runner, I'd always get laughed at when I failed to catch the kid.
