I went on the highest public viewing spot in my city. It was on a Cathedral tower - and we literally stood on top of the tower. Where the radio transmitter pole was.
It was at night time. And it was a cloud of darkness with little lights sparkling out. We could see 40 miles out to an old lighthouse still in use.
It was beautiful. And so very relaxing (as long as you're not nervous of heights!). I could have happily stayed up there the entire night, just watching the lights shine.
