We just got new chickens and I'm excited so I wanted to share. They're 2 months old and they're so small!

ahh i love them!!! Pretty chickens!
My mom once rescued 3 abandoned chickens after easter.
She named them garlic, garbanzo, and i think gertrude..
they got eaten by a cat a year or so later :(
I didn't get to really live with them though.
Do you get to name them?

lol 2 foods and then Gertrude.
That's sad D:
I suggested Penelope and my mom wanted to name one Annabelle because she claimed she hadn't gotten to name a chicken yet (but I'm pretty sure she named Beatrice).

Lovely ladies! Congrats! Are they a specific breed or chickenmutts?
I've got two chickens myself, Yori the Rhode Island red and She-Ra the wyandotte, but I got them both as year-old adults so I haven't had the fun of watching a younger chicken grow up (yet).

Annabelle is a Cream Legbar and Penelope is a Welsummer.
Neat! What's it like having just two? Are they friends? Or is one of them the alpha chicken?

qwigoqwaga oh no She-Ra, the wyandotte, is super bossy. She has to wear the glasses of shame because otherwise she pecks Yori's back and chest all bald and bloody. WITH the glasses, though, she's much nicer :p (and Yori actually has feathers!). And despite her being bossy, she really relies on Yori for emotional support. For like, everything.
Yori really couldn't care less about She-Ra. She just wants to follow me around the yard in the hope that I have treats.
They were raised together so it's not like I was just throwing two random adult chickens together, but it was a little adjusting on their parts to come from a flock of like 20 or so chickens to just them two. They seem quite happy though, now that the 'pecking Yori bloody' thing has been solved.
I had been thinking about adding a third chicken but honestly I think She-Ra would beat the poor thing to a pulp.
