TOPIC | Glimmer and Gloom is destroying my soul
Has it been months? Years? Centuries? I have crossed the seven seas in search of the answer. In my journey I unlocked the mysteries of life and creation, but none of it matters. I met god face to face and learned the story of his birth, yet even he could not give me what I sought. No amount of tutorials or walkthroughs will help me. I’ve resigned myself to this fate.

I WILL NEVER MCFREAKIN WIN GLIMMER AND GLOOM. I have spent SO LONG trying, and I haven’t beaten it O N C E since joining. I’ve tried, oh boy howdy have I tried. I am just Glimmer and Gloom incapable. Every time I think I’m ready to return to that forsaken game I’m proven more wrong.

My soul is a raisin of its former self. I’m withering away at my keyboard, resigned to arbitrarily smashing honeycombs and hoping I’ll win. But in my heart I know I won’t. I am declaring Glimmer and Gloom my mortal nemesis. I will not rest until it is defeated. And then in the empty dissatisfaction following its downfall, all I will have left is the broken pieces of my ego.

That’s actually what I thought before a couple of weeks ago :D Like, I could never figure out a single guide...until I found one that gave me the basics for what I use now!

Let me see if I can be good at explaining stuff........
Basically, it consists of grouping the tiles together to bring them down to the next row. I always go with dark. Two light pieces next to each other? Click the tile below and between them, and they’ll be cleared! Click the tile one row down and to the right to move a tile right, click the tile one row down and to the left to move the tile left. In the first rows (in Hard Mode; all the rows before the middle one), you can clear the uneven number of tiles by bringing one to the edge and clicking on the tile below and to the left (if the tile you’re trying to remove is on the left edge) or the right (if the tile you’re trying to remove is on the right edge).
In the rest of the rows, though, it’s a bit different. If you have an odd number in the middle row, click all the tiles in that row and you should have an even amount. If you have an odd number in the next row (oof, forgot how many rows there are...), click all the tiles in the second (top) row and bring those down. And if there’s an odd amount in the second-to-last row, click all the tiles in the third (top) row and bring those down.

This probably won’t help because I’m bad at explaining and such, but it’s the thought that counts! ...right?

I used this video if it helps, really there's no thinking to it once you get the pattern down

This is my favorite guide for glimmer and gloom

(Here's a corresponding text post to the youtube video Skedaddles links, if you like text over video)

I personally like the guide I first linked better, to me it's easier to understand, but my friend prefers the other method :V both are very quick once you get it down, and even use the same pattern for certain tile scenarios.

Here's the guide I use! It's super easy to remember, and after a bit of practice I can max the fairgrounds in about 20 minutes.
