TOPIC | Music that makes your body tingle.

I know I'm not the only one, but are there specific songs or perhaps singers that when you listen to them your whole body just... tingles????

Danny Elfman does that to me ngl. I'm trying to put my finger on what exactly it is that causes it but I'm not good at identifying things like that lol. Almost all of the songs Danny sings in Nightmare Before Christmas (aka all of Jack's songs) get me. I think it's the softer singing? Idk.

Anyways! Does anyone else get this? :>

Well, I don’t tingle per say, but certain Broadway and off-Broadway numbers make my pulse race.

For example: Meant To Be Yours (Heathers)

I have too many fandoms... and too many ships. I love Broadway musicals

@Khezu Sounds very much like ASMR! (Auto Sensory Meridian Response) I generally get those tingles from watching ASMR videos on youtube, like Goodnight Moon's Dragon Egg Shopping roleplay. For songs, I don't really experience that as much but certain chords (generally flat notes that are given emphasis), with soft singing voices can get really close. Some examples: TheFatRat & Anna Yvette & Laura Brehm - Chosen Dan Black & Imogen Heap - We Drift On Also Jeremy Soule because that man's a genius of a composer. Oh, my boy Danny Elfman! I love his Alice in Wonderland track. His tracks do indeed have this certain vibe that you just can't pinpoint, and it makes it so unique. It does remind me a bit of Erik Satie however, but I'm not sure why?

I have a few songs that make me tingle every time I hear them, and sometimes even make me cry. How To Save A Life by The Fray, Chasing Cars By Snow Patrol, To Build A Home by The Cinematic Orchestra, and The Sound of Silence (cover) by Disturbed.

It's weird though. I get those tingles alongside a very melancholic feeling, but in a good way. It makes me smile in a sad manner? Those songs have a weird effect on me, oof.

Oh, I can think of a lot of songs that give me the chills for one reason or another, but the one that really does it for me in all aspects - lyrics, voice, music - is The Voice.

None, actually. ASMR doesn't work on me in any way, shape or form.

Some music will make me prone to crying though, even if it's not sad. It goes double if I hear live renditions of it. Terrible.
