I occasionally hear a sound from the kitchen when im home alone, but thats generic.
I remember a few things that happened as a kid, but those could have been dreams

Has anything strange (and possibly supernatural?) ever happened to you?

Might sound ridiculous, but I once slept at my dad's house in my sisters bed and woke up in the middle of the night by someone jumping on the bed behind me. I laid there for a solid 10 seconds letting the person jump up and down before I turned around only to realise no one was there. Super natural, I don't know, but it's never happened before and hasn't happened since.

Weird sound, moving shadows and cats with the sudden ability to teleport. So, the usual stuff.

I did however, in my teenage year, see something strange in my room at night. I was fully able to move and my mind seemed active enough, so hypnagogic hallucinations seem less likely.
In the middle of the room was a tall (~2,2m) person, looking like a white, upright-standing horse. I walked around for a moment, then froze, looking at the window. Seemingly alert, front hooves raised and ears erect. After a few moments, it faded away, in a way looking like leafs blwn away by a breeze.
Afterwards, I did have recurring dreams about horse people, with this white one being the most commonly seen one. They were always friendly, kinda protective. Good guardian spirits in a time I needed them.
Though I always wonder what happened that night.

At my current house, I've had something throw a perfume bottle off of my dresser and throw a picture of jesus into the toilet (the lid had been closed, we heard a crash, it was open and the picture was in there)

I also would get scratches and bruises, but I suppose those could be explained with my pets. What can't be explained is the headache I get when speaking of these things, though

A sturdy poster fell from the wall and woke me in the middle of the night. It was screwed in and there were no tears or anything for it to slide off.

Ah... I've had an extensive history with sightings of shadow people.

It's just like, these movements of shadow you sometimes catch at the corner of your eye. Like, you'll walk past a room and suddenly catch what you think is the vague shape of a person, but then when you step back and look into the room in confusion, you see nothing, and wonder if you saw anything at all. But why would you stop and look if it was nothing, hm?

I remember I had my first sightings as a child... I have this very old memory when I was really young. I was all alone in my parents' bedroom doing something when like, I remember hearing the bedroom door open and sensing a form come in, thinking it was my parents, so I didn't turn to look. But when I looked up... this shadowy figure walked past me. It was like the default figure of a male you'd see in a modeling program, but made of shadow, almost see-through. I remember it just kinda walked by me without saying a word. Silent. Just looking straight ahead. That happened twice, and I still don't know why I remember it.

A couple years ago I looked one right in the face. They look kinda like Slenderman. That was the closest encounter I've ever had with one.

Plus, not to mention all the sightings I've had as an adult, too. For the past year or so, I hadn't been seeing any, but lately they've taken a liking to following me around, I guess. I'll see those shadows at the corners of my vision sometimes, like a form walking past the door to my room when it was really nothing.

But like it doesn't scare me? It used to unsettle me at first if I thought too hard about it, but now it doesn't anymore. It's just like, I know they can't do anything to me really, so there's no harm done.

When I was 9, staying at my friend's house for a sleepover, I needed to whizz somethin' fierce after laughing for hours with her at incomprehensible things. As I made my way down the hallway - and it's a long hallway - I saw something... outlined at the end of it, nearabouts her parent's bedroom. I know kids until a certain age are more susceptible to the otherworldly, so this startled young me. I kind of... stood there, staring at it.

I moved closer, as I've yet to make it to the bathroom. The visage became clearer, yet cloudier. Eyeless. Just black spots where eyes would be. My friend was still watching TV, not at all paying attention to me. I turned in her direction, hoping to get something, though I was unsure what. When I twisted myself back towards the hallway having not gotten her attention by, the visage was closer to me.

Suffice to say I didn't actually get to relieve myself in the bathroom, the floor made for an unfortunate replacement. It's been 15 years since and I still feel unease when going down that hallway at night.

Alternatively, something more benign. When my dearest grandmother passed 4 years ago from melanoma, I took a few things of hers in association; a couple dreamcatchers, a sock monkey, a golden angel encased in a snow globe. My room has felt odd ever since, with weird cloudy outlines appearing in random places within my room. Not threatening in the slightest, just... there.

I've had a lot of kinda interesting things happen since my grandmother's death.

For one, she always told me when I was a kid that, when she went to Heaven, she would make rainbows for me. A few days after her death, the clearest rainbow I've ever seen to date appeared right in our backyard. For the rest of the year, actually, we had an unusually high rainbow count. And I've noted small, random rainbows in places/at times when they wouldn't logically be--like at tennis practice (my grandmother passed before being able to see me play a match), especially during incredibly tense plays, like in my ranking matches or high-stakes points in close matches. Coincidence, maybe, but it's really comforting. (Most recently, during my senior pictures, I saw a cardinal while I was switching outfits in the woods. The bird had come out of nowhere, chirped at me a bit, and then... vanished. Cardinals are said to be a sign of Heaven... again, an easy coincidence, but it's very comforting to find symbols of my grandmother.)

There was also one night where I heard a crash in my room in the middle of the night. Looked around (I was afraid either my frog terrarium or fishtank had fallen over), didn't see anything. Woke up in the morning and found a memory box (shoebox size thing I keep in my closet full of papers/pictures/etc from my childhood that I can't bear to get rid of) had randomly fallen from my closet in the middle of the night, yet was perfectly in-tact and not spilled over at all, sitting upright on my floor. I had looked at the box earlier in the day and it wasn't crooked or anything, but I had noted that I needed to put stuff in it. Thanks, ghosts, for getting it down for me. Lol.

was on my mom's bed with my mom and sister as a kid. we noticed a lump rise up from under the sheets all of a sudden, and it took the silhouette of a cat stretching and yawning under the covers. we don't own a cat.

by and large, i don't believe in the supernatural. i never believed in any of it, and to this day, i still can't really say that i do - but my one potentially gray area is shadow people.

when i was young, i was out at my grandmother's cottage, and the distance between neighbours was maybe half a kilometre - a decent distance, along the lake. one summer i was exploring with my dog, and we went over to our neighbour's cottage, who we were friendly with and who i knew wasn't up there during that time. while we were approaching the cottage, i saw a shadow - the head facing towards me, so it wasn't mine - and when i looked up, there was nobody there. not anywhere. my dog was super uneasy and barking, and i just panicked and bolted. i made my grandmother go over later and see if anyone was home, but no, the place had been closed up since the beginning of summer, and we were one of the first people down there for the season lol.

i've never had another experience like it, and, like i said, i wouldn't call myself a believer by any stretch - but something about that particular experience spooked me to my bones and over two decades later, i still haven't found an explanation for it.
