TOPIC | Let's talk Turkey! [Recipes]
The American holiday of Thanksgiving is coming up in a few weeks and it's traditional for us to eat tons of food, especially roast turkey.

This year will be the first time I'm ever hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my house. Therefore, I am responsible for cooking an entire turkey for the first time ever. So, I'm looking for any recipes that you have personally tried. (If I just want any old recipes, I have Google. I'm looking for personal experience and advice here.)

Has anyone tried brining? Wet or dry? Is it worth the time, effort, and mess? Anyone have any turkey disaster stories they'd like to share? (My paternal grandmother apparently set a turkey on fire one year. Accidentally, of course.)

Other information that may be relevant: I'm having a total of 10 people over for the feast, the largest poultry I've cooked before has been a whole duck (YUM!); I will be making some of the desserts, but outsourcing most of the sides for the meal; I am allergic to tree nuts and cinnamon.

tl:dr Share roast turkey recipes that YOU HAVE TRIED. Thanks!
