Hello pokemon fans,
I was hoping to get some fun and challenging rules for my next nuzlocke in heartgold. I find the traditional rules can be a little easy and I've yet to lose a challenge. Did anyone want to suggest some crazy rules? I'm not looking for impossible but I want a hard to win run! I'd anyone wants to join me in the locke as well I'd love to see your progress.
Any suggestions?

you could consider doing a randomizer or try one of those hard mode roms (sacred gold, renegade platinum). also while this doesn’t affect HG if you have both black 2 and white 2 (or at least know someone with B2) then you can do a challenge mode run of W2

Use only one type! I'm watching someone doing a Bug-Only Nuzlocke with SwSh :)
(With it being one type he is giving all the pokemon 3 lives and is catching 1 of each Bug type regardless of route (caught 2 bugs on Route 1 for example)

Not sure if that would work with the rule that pokemon get released when they faint, plus if I managed to get to the elite 4 I'd be butchered. What about the trainers that heal you if you talk to them? That may work

I mean yeah you can use the pc's but no healing in a pokecenter.
I mean that sounds fair I guess, but I think a limit on uses of said trainer seems good.
