TOPIC | Boba/Bubble Tea enthusiasts!
Bubble tea. Boba. It's taken over the world and rightfully so. So let's talk about it. what's your favourite bubble tea shop? Do you call it boba or pearls or bubbles? What flavours do you like? What's your favourite way to drink it? Pictures?

Bubble tea enthusiasts, rise up. It's taken over the world and we're here to drink it all.

Personally my favourite place to get bubble tea itself is Gong Cha or LiHo. The pearls are so soft, the tea is so rich and delicious. I used to drink with 100% sugar but I now personally drink with 50% or under depending on the place. If it's Gong Cha, I get 30% sugar since the pearls are sweeter but at LiHo, I take 50% sugar.

However, my favourite tea shop is KOI, but not their bubble tea. They only do golden bubbles which is more expensive but I feel, not any better than normal pearls so no reason to get golden bubble. They do this excellent green tea macchiato which is delicious.

I know Tiger Sugar has also taken over the US bubble tea craze, but I haven't tried it myself even though it opened outlets here way earlier. I tried the brown sugar bubble tea at Gong Cha but it was way too sweet and I didn't get the option to make it less sweet. So if you've tried Tiger Sugar, do let me know how it is!

Sadly, the nearest place to do Bubble Tea is an hour away from me, in one of the major cities that I only go to a couple times a year, so I have only had it a few times, but I honestly loved the ones I tried.

The one I used to get was from a small stand in one of the shopping complexes, because that WAS the only place that did it. But lately there's been a bunch of places popping up that do it, so I am hoping to try some of them, see which is best.

It actually originated in Taiwan! :)

I love bubble tea and get it whenever possible lol. My favorite kind honestly is just Oolong tea with bubbles lol. No milk or sugar needed!

@ThurpOfficial Yep, bubble tea and the milk tea craze originated from Taiwan. I've had ramune before but it's just soda so I haven't really found it too exciting except that it has less of a citrus flavour than Sprite.

I absolutely love Boba! But the only place near here is still a pretty big drive out of the way (+30 mins or so) which means I only grab one when I'm out there anyway.

It's a cute, new family Boba shop though. I always order Milk Tea with Oolong, Strawberryx2, with tapioca, bursting pearls, and jellies. (:

I love Boba! Sadly, the nearest place is in a mall in the next town over, which is a 30+ min drive away, so I only ever get to grab one if I have business in there, which is like once or twice a year. Plus they're honestly not the best (they always make it so watered down for some reason) but eh, beggers can't be choosers...
Its always such a treat when I can go though! My favorite is their strawberry/vanilla White Tea with strawberry popping pearls

I've also been looking into making my own boba tea at home, that way I don't have to wait for the rare few times I'm at that mall!
