There probably is a topic somewhere but I couldn't find it soo let's talk about sports.
What sports do you like and what do you do? Are you doing competitions in it or not? Just curious :)
For years I just did some sports when I still lived in the city, but when i moved back to the island there was no sport at all. Which I hated... Now a year later, I'm doing badminton on Thursday, Volleyball will start soon on Monday and on Friday I travel to the mainland to do my passion; Roller Derby.
When I'm good enough and they say I can do games I will do Roller Derby competitions, because yes! That's what I want to do! Right now... Let's first learn how not to break my legs.
On our island, badminton is just for fun and with Volleyball we will train for a yearly island competition where all islands from the Netherlands will compete against each other which is a pretty big event on our islands.
I just returned from a game called "Apenkooi" in Dutch. I tried to find the English translation but I cannot find it so I just explain it. It's a Tag game, where you have a room full of atributes. Technically, the ground is lava, and you can only walk on the atributes. If the tag person tags someone, that person i out of the game. If the tagger hits the "lava" everyone is free again. If a player hits the "lava" he's out of the game. We usually do this with children from Primary school and it's amazing. But a lot of adults missed it and so now every eyar on our island they organize 1 Apenkooi game for adults to attend. As it's a bit more rough children are not allowed to enter xD I just fell down and my leg hurts a bit, but welp, it was fun and that's what counts!

i think marching band counts as a sport? idk but i really love it! even if the practices are really intense and it's like 110°f during band camp but it's okay bc it's worth it!! i also really enjoy swimming but i don't get to do it often so i'm not very good at it but it's a great workout for someone like me who needs to improve his lungs and stuff!! (i like running it's just!! my lungs do NOT agree!)

I do cross country in the fall and usually track for the rest of the year. This time around I am doing basketball! I have tried out a lot of sports but never really stuck to one for a long time lol. I would really like to try equestrian in the future.

I love running! I do Cross Country in the Fall and Track in the Spring. It’s really the only thing I'm decent at. I have played Volleyball casually during a summer camp, and I'm actually not bad. I'd love to get better at it.

Basically Redoing my Clan's Lore- for the third time.
Traditional Archery. Got a nice English longbow.
I don't do it competitvely, just for fun. There is a neat ouside course in a forest of a nearby village.

There are some sports that I love and some that I loathe. I played many sports when I was a kid, soccer, basketball, horseback riding to name a few. Competitive swimming is where I really thrived.

I was forced to play many sports growing up, but the one that kinda stuck with me was tennis. I played competitively with my school team for a few years but I’m not too into it anymore and I get together with some friends maybe once a week to just play :> still super fun!

My main spectator sports are both motorsports - Speedway and banger racing.
I love Speedway in particular and have become a regular at local race meets - dirt bikes racing round an oval track does not sound exciting but it gets so tense sometimes especially with a good rival.
I don't do any sport atm though it's something I'd really like to get back into.
I'm hoping to pick up rock climbing, archery and kyacking at uni since those are part of a mandatory sports program I'm actually pretty excited about!
I used to do a lot of sailing - I raced yachts in inshore races for a bit but had to give that up because transport became an issue - I'd take it up again in a heartbeat if it became accessible again because I loved it.
I also sailed dinghies though never raced them.
I still go boating just in a motor driven vessel and no racing is involved, it's more pleasure cruising for the sake of learning seamanship.
I used to be into horse riding when I was younger but this time it was money as well as transport that made me drop it in the end. I'd like to pick that up again too.
