New years is almost upon us and this week me and my sister were chatting and we started talking about things that have happened this year that we gave thanks to, so I thought why not ask around and talk about this?
2018 and 2019 were really hard years for me but this year, specially past few months, have given me more gifts that I realized. I was and still am struggling with mental health but the improvement has even gotten me surprised at times, because when you're in those bad moments it sometimes feels like that's it and like you're not gonna get better.
There are still moments of me being hard on myself despite the progress I've made but I'm so much better and feeling a lot more like myself.
All of this got me interested on what you guys are grateful for in 2019?
It doesn't have to be big, as long as it's something that was good for you ^^

Being grateful is difficult sometimes. I know this feeling, when nothing seems to make sense anymore. But that's not what you asked.
I'm grateful for being in a relationship with my fiance for 6 long years now. I wouldn't know what I'd do without him.
I'm also grateful for all the kind words of people here on flightrising. I often posted here in really dark times. The community of this website is just awesome. They made me feel better so much. Flight Rising is my save place if I have nowhere else to go.

I have somewhere to live. I have food and water. I have a future in a career that I want if I work hard. I have luxuries like a phone and games consoles. I have wonderful friends. I have a passion for music that gets me through the difficult times. I have hopes and dreams, and the means to make them happen :)

The special loving kind dog that is always got my back (Especially when it means cleaning up some food i dropped) I am divorced with no children and i need her. she is the definition of mans best freind

I'm grateful for getting through another year . . for the ones I love for getting through the year. Especially my mother, she's always stressed, and I'm so grateful that she got through another year.
I'm grateful for thinking about myself for once. I don't think about myself or what I want, but I finally thought about myself for once, thinking about a hard choice of where we are moving to next. Now, this doesn't seem hard for most, but I have to move every year/every two years because my step"father" is in the military. It's hard when I have to leave the only friend that is very rare and hard to get anyways every year. But I considered myself and my thoughts when choosing a place to move to for our options of where to be stationed to.
I'm also thankful for life. Life is full of change, chaos, and love. All of those are needed in life, and life is great. Even if we are going through some severe crap, the fact that we are learning and alive, is the best thing. Also the new life of my baby half-brother, James.
