I was thinking about this because I just spilled black pepper all over the cup of rice I just cooked... I spilled close to 4 tablespoons of black pepper, it was not a good scene.
Not including the vegetables I like to sautee to put on top, I like to put salt, pepper, paprika, chipotle, and penzey's mural of flavor on rice lately. Maybe a little bit of dillweed, too. :-)

butter and pepper. sometimes soy sauce. its pretty good if you fry an egg with the yolk still runny so the yolk gets on the rice.
