Here are my answers to my conversation starters.

-I really like Awakening, Three Houses, and Genealogy of the Holy War. I loved the F!Robin and Chrom supports in Awakening, and I loved the characters and their stories. Three Houses has really good plot twists and story overall, with developed characters with interesting backstories. Genealogy of the Holy War has interesting characters, as well as a heartbreaking plot twist. All of those three games were beautiful and I love those three so much.

-I really can't decide much since FE has so many developed characters, but I might have to say Edelgard or Deirdre. Edelgard has a really developed backstory, such as when she was tortured as a child to have a second Crest implanted into her and turning her hair white by mages who claimed to be from the Church of Seiros and, in my opinion, an interesting appearance and personality. Deirdre has a really cool backstory as well, with her being the daughter of Cigyun and secretly Kurth as well as her love with Sigurd. She was an interesting and important character.

-I picked the Black Eagles as my first run, but after playing through all the routes, I would pick the Golden Deer or Black Eagles depending on what I'm in to. The Golden Deer has great characters, and the Black Eagles has the best story. Both in my opinion. Blue Lions is good too with the husbandos, but the Golden Deer and Black Eagles have to remain my favorite.

-I really like Bylaude (F!Byleth x Claude) and Sigdre (Sigurd x Deirdre). They both have an interesting reason why they like each other and how they came to like each other. Claude and F!Byleth supports, in my opinion, are adorable, as well as Sigurd and Deirdre being a cute couple. I felt sad about it when Manfroy erased Deirdre's memories of Sigurd as well as Sigurd being killed by Arvis of when they had to leave each other, but I loved that when they both died late in to the story, technically their spirits finally reunited. It was a beautiful scene where Sigurd's ghost talks to Seliph, and it almost made me cry.

Hooray, Fire Emblem! One of my favorite series, I'm so thrilled that 3H was so well received and has brought so many new fans to the series. I remember the dark days before Awakening when the future of the series was uncertain, as a long-time fan I couldn't be happier with where we are now.

I'm really hoping that they continue the Echoes series and tackle Genealogy of the Holy War next, I've been wanting to play an official English version of it for some time. Or FE6, IS plz I just want to actually play this game why did you give us the prequel but never this one lol.

Favorite game: ...I honestly don't know. I like different things about all the games, it's hard to pick a favorite. FE7 I'm most nostalgic about, Conquest has some of the best gameplay, and 3H has some of my favorite storylines.

Favorite Character: Aw geez another tough one. Maybe Lucina? I love most of the characters tbh. Dimitri gets a shoutout too as does Lukas from Echoes.

3H House: I went with Blue Lions first for no real reason, just went with my gut. It actually ended up being my favorite of the storylines. I like how it follows the more traditional FE plot but turns a lot of the classic tropes on their head. I also like how connected the characters are, they all have deep backstories and struggles that interweave and make for richer interactions. They're all been negatively affected by the war/Fodlan's struggles and that makes the experience a bit more realistic imo. Blue Lions also have my favorite collection of characters! And Dedue is the best retainer, don't @ me lol.

Favorite Ship: I'm not really a...shipper sort of person but I like F!Byleth/Dimitri, Felix/Annette, Sylvain/Ingrid, Ferdinand/Dorothea, Claude/Hilda, I could go on haha. I also like the pairing of F!Robin and Chrom, I think that adds a really great layer to Lucina's story.

Edit: fixed some of my grammar

Fire Emblem is my favorite franchise I love it so much!
I own Shadow Dragon, Shadows of Valentia, Blazing Blade, Sacred Stones, Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn, Awakening, Fates, and Three Houses. I've seen lets plays of all the others except New Mystery of the Emblem. Still haven't finished watching Binding Blade and Thracia 776. And I play FEH :D

-What is your favorite game in the series and why?
It's a tie between Path of Radiance (my first FE game) and Radiant Dawn! They have some of the best worldbuilding out of the franchise imo. Also Senri Kita is the artist for both and she is amazing.

Runner up is Three Houses. Excellent worldbuilding and I loved the music.

-Who is your favorite character and why?
I have so many so uh, here's one per continent.

Archanea: Merric! He's the original windy boy, with excalibur as his unique tome. I also gave him the starlight tome in my playthrough of shadow dragon.

Valentia/Rigel: Berkut! I know he was a new character for the remake, but he was written so well and Ian Sinclair did amazing voice work for him. His story is sad.

Jugdral: Julius! Magic, tragic, dragon boy. He was said to be a good kid before loptyr/loptous possessed him. :( His battle theme is so good???? I also have him +10 in heroes and he's great.

Elibe: Rath? He's super cool, even though I rarely bring him to endgame.

Magvel: Lyon! Dark magic user, tragic villain. I love his design!

Tellius: Soren! Wind mage, edgy with a tragic backstory, has fantastic character development, dragon boy, TRUE PRINCE OF DAEIN ugh. I also like Reyson a lot.

Ylisse, etc: M!Morgan probably. He's my son lol and I like his supports with other characters.

Nohr/Hoshido: Subaki! I was so excited when it was revealed we were finally getting male pegasus knights in fates. It's a shame the writing and story was subpar.

Askr, etc.: Lif (jello skeleton alfonse) and Hrid (precious pastel ice prince) are tied.

Fodlan: Dimitri! His design is so good, tragic story, excellent voice acting, and he's such a fun unit to use.

-If you play Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which house did you choose and why?
I chose Blue Lions first, and it's still my favorite route!
*hipster glasses* I was a Dimitri fan before his timeskip design was revealed lol.

I only discovered this after starting my second route (black eagles, edelgard), but blue lions definitely feel more "old school" fire emblem. Of course you can build your units literally any way you want (something I ADORE about 3H), but you've definitely got a lot of the classic archetypes in blue lions. You've got your myrmidon, cavalier, pegasus girl, archer, wind mage, axe user/heavy armor, etc. The other houses are similar, but not as blatant as blue lions.

-Favorite ship(s) and why?
I'm not really a shipper, but I do like Marth/Caeda, Sigurd/Deirdre, Eliwood/Ninian, Naesala/Leanne, Micaiah/Pelleas, Rajaion/Ena, Lehran/Altina, and Dimitri/F!Byleth to name a few.

One of my favourite franchises! Always happy to talk about Fire Emblem.

  • What is your favourite game in the series and why?

This question always has me having to decide between two games: FE7, FE15 and FE16. Some of my all-time favourite characters come from FE7, but at the same time, FE15 has a certain charm that kept me super invested. FE16 is is an amazing game, and I love it to bits. It's got a LOT of replay value which I love about it. Plus the cast is great, too.

  • Who is your favourite character and why?

Without a doubt, Heath from FE7. This guy needs so much more love. So much more. He sticks to his own values and maintains them, and while he might not show it openly, he cares for his friends and allies.

I might as well do my favourite character from each game (going to merge FE1/3with FE11/12 because they're extremely similar) because why the hell not?

FE1/3/11/12: Etzel. His backstory is rather sad and my heart just goes out to him.

FE2/15: Luthier! This man stole with only cats for friends stole my heart! I also love Tatiana and Zeke.

FE4/5: If I had to choose between the two characters I immediately think of when Jugdral comes to mind - Seliph and Julius - , I would choose Seliph. I just... love him so much. If we're talking the first gen characters in FE4, then Naoise/Noish.

FE6: Tie between Echidna and Hugh. Echidna is a strong woman with resolve and I like that. Hugh, while naïve, is sincere and caring deep down and I like that about him.

FE7: Heath aside, I absolutely ADORE Legault. A bit of a tease, playful and all the while, caring. I love this man.

FE8: Lyon. Tragic backstory and a great villain. Plus his interactions with Ephraim and Eirika are just so wholesome before things go downhill.

FE9/10: Windy Boy Soren. Great backstory, and I love his personality. I also like most of the laguz units.

FE13: Gaius. A thief with literal sticky fingers? Incredible. Calm and collected, fond of sweets, cheeky but sticks to his morals? That's my kind of character.

FE14: Pineapple Prince Takumi. Desperate to prove that he's equal to his siblings, and feels that he's inferior, but is very caring despite all that, even if he does act harsh. Actually a softy deep down. I love him.

FE16: I love most of the cast, but I can narrow it down to four characters; Lorenz, Ferdinand, Felix and Dimitri.

  • If you play Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which house did you choose and why?

Blue Lions. When the characters were slowly being revealed through the 3H Japanese twitter, the characters I was most interested in were all from the Blue Lions. Before that happened, I was pretty sure I'd stick with Claude and the Golden Deer but welp, that changed after all the Blue Lions were revealed. I love how most of the Blue Lions' are somewhat connected to each other (e.g. Dimitri, Sylvain, Felix and Ingrid are all childhood friends) and this makes their interactions feel richer.

  • Favourite ship(s) and why?

    Zeke/Tatiana, Eliwood/Ninian, Sigurd/Deirdre, Kent/Lyn, Felix/Annette, Sylvain/Ingrid, and a lot of FE16 characters/F!Byleth.
To summarise: I find the interactions between said characters adorable, and for the characters that have end cards after finishing the game, the endings they share are adorable.
lorenz/f!byleth's verdant wind ending is absolutely adorable. i love it sm.

I'll preface this by saying I've not played any of the JP-only games (mostly because I refuse to download ROMs for anything for personal moral reasons). So the Jugdral games are almost complete unknowns to me. I've read the game scripts, but they weren't doing much for me. I've been playing the series since it first came out in the US and have followed it through its up and downs, but I try to stay out of the general fandom because sometimes it can be... something.

What is your favorite game in the series and why?
Sacred Stones or Awakening. Although SoV has gotten very very close.

Who is your favorite character and why?
FE7: Probably Nils. I like Hector as well.

FE8: Lyon. While 'possessed by a greater power and therefor evil' is a pretty common trope in the series, he's the one who actually came off as the most sympathetic for me.

FE9/10: Titania - I have a type. She's it. Soren's a close second place though.

FE13: Lucina - Probably my favorite character in the entire series for a lot of personal reasons that are hard to explain.

FE14: Xander (another character type of mine) and Takumi. I think my fondness for Takumi might just mostly be due to the fact that he was completely overpowered in my run through of Birthright though.

FE15: Hmm.... This is a tough one. I really like Alm & Celica together as a unit, but if we're just going with singular characters, probably Conrad.

FE16: Dimitri, easily. Although it really amuses me how much Ingrid is just... me.

If you play Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which house did you choose and why?
I started with Blue Lions, and after playing through all 4 routes, going to stick with Blue Lions being my favorite. It's very classic in a good way, while also having a good amount of deeper character moments.

I've always enjoyed Fire Emblem. I haven't played all of the games, but I watched several playthroughs and read some of the FE4 manga. The music is so good, and I can spend hours listening to the OSTs.

What is your favorite game in the series and why?
FE7 and FE16. However, I also enjoyed Genealogy of the Holy War's story, and POR & RD's characterizations.

Who is your favorite character and why?
There's too many characters I like, but currently I would say the Eliwood-Hector-Lyn trio, Claude, and Seliph. I also like Lucius because he carried my FE7 playthrough.

If you play Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which house did you choose and why?
Golden Deer - I like the color, the characters, and Claude.

Favorite ship(s) and why?
I don't heavily ship anyone specifically, but I'm down for anything with good character supports.

I've only played FE13, FE14, and FE16 (I need casual mode because I love all my units too much and might actually cry if I accidentally let someone die), but with all of the routes that's basically eight games, right? I do plan on picking up FE15 at some point as well.

What is your favorite game in the series and why?
Probably Awakening or Three Houses! They both had such great stories. I think I might like Three Houses a bit more, though. It's one of the best portrayals of grey morality that I've ever seen in a game.

I also have a soft spot for Conquest. The maps are lots of fun, and it was the first FE game I ever played (yes, that was a mistake and I definitely should've started with something easier).

Who is your favorite character and why?
Ohh man, this is tough. I guess I'd say Claude, followed by Edelgard and Takumi. I love how Claude acts all secretive and cunning, but he doesn't have an ulterior motive like I expected. He just wants to improve Fòdlan.

If you play Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which house did you choose and why?
I started with Black Eagles (Crimson Flower) because I love Edelgard lmao. I did Golden Deer after that and realized that I liked Claude better, then Blue Lions and Black Eagles (Silver Snow). Basically, I went from least to most "licking the church's boots"

Favorite ship(s) and why?
Chrom/Robin is always nice. M!Robin or F!Robin, doesn't matter to me. It adds an interesting layer to the plot of Awakening, and they have a really cute dynamic.

-What is your favorite game in the series and why?

My top three would have to be Sacred Stones, Awakening, and Three Houses. All of them have stories I like, and I love the game play, though I have to admit I actually never finished Awakening since I borrowed it from a friend and sadly had to return it before I was able to reach the end...

-Who is your favorite character and why?
Hoo boy, asking me to choose just one? Nope.

My favorite from Blazing Blade is definitely Lucius. Great backstory and supports and a solid unit as well! Also as a trans man he speaks to me on a spiritual level

My favorite from New Mystery of the Emblem is Katarina. Since she's from a JP exclusive game, not many people here know about her, but god damn does her story get to me. Me? Kill her accidentally while trying to recruit her and started crying from her death speech? No, absolutely not. This is also how I learned in this battle that she will not move to a safe range to attack even if she will die unlike literally every other enemy in the game, meaning that it is absolutely intentional. God, I cried so hard

My favorite from Sacred Stones is Lyon. I identify a lot with this guy to say the least. Truly the epitome of "The path to hell is paved with good intentions". I get a lot of the anxieties Lyon goes through throughout the game. Being afraid to ask for help, comparing yourself to others and devaluing your own talents; I used to struggle with that a lot, but I am thankfully getting better. It is unfortunate that no matter what you do, there really can be no happy ending for Lyon... His lines in Heroes are also amazing, and honestly what made me truly fall in love with his character.

My favorite in Awakening is... Grima. Okay, hear me out here. I get they are absolutely not well developed in the Awakening base game, but the bad ending of the Future Past DLC adds a huge amount of depth to Grima, implying that Robin is not only a vessel for Grima, but possibly even the reincarnation of them. combined with their appearances in Echoes, Heroes, and the story of Thabes has kinda turned them into one of my favorite villians. Oops. Also I have a weak spot for edgy dragons. Sue me.

My favorite in Three Houses is Linhardt! There's not really anything deep here, I just like this chaotic, hyper fixation prone sleepy boy. A true mlm blessing.

My favorite OC from Heroes is Alfonse/Lif! As someone who had been playing since a month or two since launch, I originally took interest in him due to him being sort of the underdog "bench lord" of the game, but then started paying more attention to his character and before I knew it, I would die for this boy. I promoted him to 5 stars, gave him all the best skill inheritance, S Supported him as soon as the feature came out, and am working on getting him to 10+ dragon flowers. As Heroes was technically my first Fire Emblem game, my first lord will always have a special place in my heart, and I await to see how the story will make him suffer this time! ( ;v;) Also Lif fills my edgy thirst quota. Thank you Mr. Blue Jello Skeleman

-If you played Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which house did you choose and why?
I choose Golden Deer for my first play through, mostly because Claude's voice actor is an absolute treasure. He somehow wrestled me away from the Blue Lions and I have no regrets. Also, after seeing the E3 trailer, I though Claude's path would be the most likely to lead to a peaceful ending for the other two... How wrong I was... Sorry Dimitri...

-Favorite ship(s) and why?
Not really too much of a shipping person, but you can pry Chrobin from my cold, dead claws. They deserve the world.

-What is your favorite game in the series and why?
Oh man it's hard to choose but I guess I'll go with Sacred Stones, Awakening, Shadows of Valentia, and Three Houses. Love the characters in all four of the games I mentioned. Also love Sacred Stones' somber tone and SoV's unique mechanics and the willingness to require different strategies. Honorable mention to Path of Radiance for best world building imo.

-Who is your favorite character and why?
Overall it's Lucina. I just love her resolve to do the right thing, but also how she has moments to be vulnerable and a little playful in her supports. But since we're going by game...

The Archanea games: Etzel? I guess? Why not.

Valentia: Gray. And also Tobin. They're just such a great pair.

FE4: Lewyn! A good boy! Terrible father. Yes I know Forseti's also a terrible father.

FE5: Have only played a little of it so far but Eyvel's cool I guess.

FE6: I have not played Binding Blade but Echidna looks cool.

FE7: Rath. Every time I play Rath is my best character. I count down the chapters until I can recruit Rath again.

FE8: All of them no I do not take criticism.

FE9/10: Ranulf. A good loyal boy.

Awakening: Like I said Lucina takes the cake but speaking of cake Gaius is a very close second.

Fates: I like Takumi he's very relatable in how he's unsure of his own abilities but also he's the only one reasonably suspicious about Corrin being a Nohrian spy.

Three Houses: Going to three-way tie it between Claude, Dimitri, and Dorothea. Dorothea was probably the biggest surprise because at first I thought "oh she's just waifu bait" and then whoops her character is super deep.

-If you play Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which house did you choose and why?
I started with the Black Eagles but I'm definitely more of a Blue Lions stan now. I really liked Edelgard's character at first but after that big reveal she just didn't gel with me anymore. Haven't played Golden Deer yet but plan to once the last dlc drops.

I'm not much of a shipper but Eirika x Seth is good stuff.
