So I learned in one of my classes awhile ago about animal instincts. Like how some humans do weird stuff that normally only other species do. So it got me thinking.
Ever since I was about ten, I have had this tic where I’ll touch a person’s shoulder at really strange times. But only with family and close friends. And I was researching cats (because, why not?) and I learned that cats will mark something as their own by placing a paw on said object because of glands in said paws.
I feel like I somehow picked this up from cats?!?

Anyone else have stuff like that?

When I was a kid, I used to bend and hold my arms the way a kangaroo does. I hadn’t even known I was doing it until someone pointed it out to me.

I’ve stopped now. Don’t remember when I grew out of it.

Not sure if this counts actually,

I grew up with dogs so I often yelp(like a dog) when I accidentally hit or bump into something. I make a lot of weird dog sounds? The other thing is probably common among dog owners, but when you've spent the majority of your life around dogs you kind of learn their body language. So often times I have to translate to my family members how my dog is felling and warn them when to stop petting her before she gets annoyed or angry.

nesting urges
digging urges
sniff stuff
bite

i sort of meow a lot at random times involuntarily fkmlkgslkfg my brain is weird and insists i make noises at weird times, i don't know why it had to be MEOWING though. probably because when i was a kid i pretended to be a cat ALL THE TIME and would meow and hiss at people. i also have a lot of other cat-like stuff i do, like bumping my head on people/things and flexing my fingers when im laying down like cats do with their paws when they knead at the air sort of.

Monky instinct. Climb. Run. Need high vantage point. Parkour up these stairs, climb banister
Go up stairs on all fours. Eat dirt. What does raw egg taste like? Find out. Go feral. Must make nest to sleep. Push thingg off of table.

i'll just be chillin on the couch or something and someone always has to say something like "is that comfortable????" or "why do you sit like that?"

apparently all my normal sitting positions are weird to everyone else

When I dream, I often 'run' on four legs when I move between dreamplaces.

.... sometimes this happens so often that even when I'm awake, my brain sometimes makes an attempt to do the same before it realizes that's not a thing i can do.
