TOPIC | Fun and free adventure apps?
1 2
I’m making a lot of forum posts today whoops.

So! I’m sorta bored. Even though I’ll be on my 3DS in a few minutes playing Minion Quest (the sub-story of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions), I figured I’d ask around and see if anyone knows of any good free mobile apps? Something with a plot, good characters, etc. Preferably something that‘s still being updated.

For example, I also play Summoner’s War (although I’ve only been collecting my daily rewards, haven’t actually been motivated to play the story part of the game recently), and Fire Emblem Heroes (one of my favorite apps tbh). Oh! And Kingdom Hearts Union x [cross]. I play it as often as Summoner’s War, but unlike that game I actually do the story quests when they come out.
I’m fine with any type of cursing as long as it isn’t anything that’s normally censored (I don’t like playing anything with lots of heavy cursing, at least not until I get used to it).
Something that’s also newbie-friendly would be nice. I’m a slow learner ^.^’ I still have newbie moments on here, and I’ve been on FR for almost a year (I think in April or May I’ll be here for a year? Whenever Wavecrest Saturnalia is). The same can be said for every game I’ve been playing (heck, I’ve been playing Mario & Luigi: Dream Team since I was around 8 or 9, and I just now learned a few months ago that Brita does actually pay you for breaking the rocks when you talk to her).

Anyways, sorry for the rant. Basically, if you know of any adventure apps that are free and don’t require an account of any kind, I’d be happy to check them out when I can ^_^

(I’m on an iPad, btw. I forgot to mention that earlier.)

Games to try out:
Geocache (treasure hunting, open world, good characters and graphics according to the suggester)
Dragalia Lost (dragons. I think that’s all that needs to be said XP)
Sky: Children of the Light (pretty, somewhat MMO but can be played alone according to the suggester)
Onmyoji (similar to Summoner’s War according to the suggestor)
Arknights
RAID: League of Shadows

The Geocache app, available for both android and iOS. It's a treasure hunter game where you get to explore a massive open world.

The plot feature is a little lacking, though there is plot if you put in the time to find it. The characters and the graphics, though? The characters are all super believable and the graphics are a-ma-zing!

If you like Fire Emblem Heroes, then you might like Dragalia Lost. It’s another gatcha game, but it’s pretty fair in my opinion, looks pretty, has fun gameplay and has a ton of dragons.
If your phone can run it, Sky: Children of the Light is fun to play for a few hours. It’s visually gorgeous, and the gameplay and storytelling is somewhat similar to Journey. It’s kind of like an mmo, but it’s based on helping each other, or you can just play by yourself like I did.

@rainchime

Thanks! I’ll add the suggestions to the main post so I don’t forget.

And I forgot to mention, but I’m on an iPad ^.^’ I have a phone, but it’s shared with my sibling and they’re the one who typically uses it for games and stuff. They should still work on my iPad, right?

@PinkRose06 I’m pretty sure it can. Just make sure to check the requirements on the app page in the app store.

There's this one that I play called Choices, and it's free though I only recommend it if you are ok with waiting. You can play two chapters (which are very good and also kinda long) of a story each 4 hours... It seems like a long time but I can just busy myself with something else and then I can play more. There are also premium story choices that you need gems for, (you can get them with ads) but some of them don't really matter or aren't interesting. They have lots of story generes and character development, every story is action-packed and is overall just really good. I think you should try it out one time, if it sounds interesting.

@LemonSnickers
I think I tried out Choices once. If not, then something similar. It was fun, but I’m a bit impatient and it wasn’t entirely my thing :/

Onmyoji is pretty similar to Summoner's War. There's also Love Nikki and Cocoppa Doll, though those are fashion games. They're really addicting though.
