TOPIC | Any comp pokemon players out there?
I've been breeding and training competitive pokemon lately, and was wondering if there was anyone here interested in swapping ideas, movesets, and possibly projects? I have a bunch of stuff leftover that I'd love to trade for other ideas.

We could also test out teams if you wanted to! I'm not the best at it yet, but I'm trying! Lol.

My Switch code is SW-7339-7261-9023 if you want to add me!

not myself, but i admire ya. the closest i get to the competitive scene is idly looking to see what's been called good lately and realising half of my favourite mons have had a history of being in the top bands.

like, from what i can tell everyone's been going wild because incineroar's super good? i just wanted my shiny lad in...

i mean, from what i've seen from my (comp) friend, there's the ol' dracovish trick, there's a doubles strat using oranguru and greedent (trick room, belly drum) for mad damage, and apparently torkoal's joining the scene.

i love competitive pokemon, however i only have competitive teams on us/um and pokemon showdown :,) most of my team members could not be moved to sw/sh because of the pokedex limitations.

my switch code is 5765 5538 1590 if you'd like to friend me! like i said i dont have a complete team yet, but ill be working on it!

ive got a few teams im looking to build, ones a poison monoteam and the others an ou team i really like.

i think some of my favorite pokemon for competitive are siliglyph, scolipede, or aqraqunid, do you have any favorites?

yes, i love comp pokemon! i play mainly in gen 5 ~ 7, as i still cant grasp the gen 8 meta.

i mainly play on showdown, however - i dont own a switch, and most likely wont anytime soon. i play monotype and LC, but i drabble in UU from time to time.

my favourite pokemon to use in competitive are as follows : mimikyu, cofagrigus and LC meowth. ( STAB fake out with technician? yes, please. )

@Falinks

I was never a competitive player until recently, tbh. I started in gen 6 and realized I sucked, so I got serious in Su/Mo so don't worry there, lol. It's mostly me wanting more out of pokemon in general.

Incineroar is a beast right now, with intimidate and parting shot.

@wizardnpc

Yeah, a lot of my gen 7 team is stuck in home too. Had to start over for the most part. I added you on the switch!

I've been working on Sun, rain, hail, and Sand (Weather) teams at the moment. My current favourite mons are Falinks, Corviknight, and Barraskewda!

@Braixen

Gen 8 isn't to to bad, I seem to be grasping it somehow. It's a lot of countering the same few mons like Incineroar, Dragapult, and Corviknight.

Oh man, STAB Tech Fake out? Yes please! My favourite right now is a STAB Choice Specs Liquidation on Barraskewda in the rain. Knocking heads is fun!

@CowboySkittles

It's not as bad as it seems. Arguably a little easier because Megas, Z Moves, and Primals aren't really on the scene. Dynamaxing is pretty easy to counter, and gigantamax isn't too scary.

(Also thank you! I've been dying to see season seven, but have to wait until it comes to Netflix.)
