So... I may have a "small" dnd addiction (for like.. the past 6 months *cough*) and I love hearing about other peoples characters!!! Whether you are a player yourself or a DM with NPCs you really like, I'd love to hear!!! Seriously... I love hearing about the characters other people play so much Right now one of my characters is a CN half-elf Rogue (thief) with a sailor background who's a bit impulsive and reckless!! He's my oldest currently active character (our campaign just hit 6 months a couple of days ago!) and i love him so much... He's dating one of the NPCs whos a lawful paladin and the contrast between the two is very fun to sometimes play out...!! And also, up until a few sessions ago, he was cursed with illiteracy since he was a child but thanks to a friendly lich he can read now. He's. REALLY messed up due to his backstory but I love him regardless ;__;

!! I'm currently playing a true neutral rogue, with the noble background! her name is Leontine Trevelyan and our campaign is... 8 months old? but we dont get together very often so we're not very far into it. the gist of her backstory is that shes on leap year between normal schooling and higher education, and that shes backpacking across the country to see the world before settling down- which is pretty much her worst nightmare. I don't have any art of her but she was originally based off a dragon age oc, who looks like this: I also play a kenku twilight cleric in a mini campaign run by our friend- shes really fun to play because the party is just kenku triplets and they're all just THE WORST, but they're also basically like, children. So its really fun to play a tiny bird person cleric whos like, maybe the human equivalent of 15 years old, whos hobbies are like, stealing things, eating whatever she finds on the ground, and anxiously following her braver siblings.

The campaign I've been playing is pretty small, so I have two characters. It's a predominantly monstrous humanoid themed campaign, so all the characters in the party are non-standard races. Khazet is a Chaotic Neutral sorcerer - and he's also a gnoll. Most of the rest of his clan thought he was completely nuts, because he spent all his time playing with magic instead of doing "useful" hunting and fighting. But he helped out in his own way, so they kind of just nodded and smiled when he did something eccentric. But the clan village was destroyed right at the beginning of the campaign, with Khazet being one of only two survivors. Since then, he's been on a quest to find out what mysterious enemy destroyed his home. The other survivor of the destruction of the village was Rhejat, a Chaotic Evil ranger. He is Khazet's older half-brother, born in an earlier litter, same mother but different father. He's a far more "typical" gnoll, as he loves fighting, and has developed a particularly profound hatred of humans. Like, literally nothing pleases him more than bashing humans' brains out. Deep down, he has a bit of a soft spot for his "weird" younger brother, so considers it his job to keep Khazet out of too much trouble. At times, however, he's distinctly unimpressed by the bizarre adventures he's been sucked into.

When I was a player I played as Urst Hunt, a lawful good half-orc fighter. He grew up in a small farming community with his human mother and eventually leaves to escape the boring farm life and to seek a better purpose, he hopes to be hero one day!

In our game he basically acted as the straight-man of the group trying to keep all the other pc's on track or from doing things that would definitely get us killed. lol
He begrudgingly loves all of them and wants to see the group do good for others since thats how they originally came together.

But I don't play as him anymore because we switched to a campaign where I was dming and then we stopped playing altogether because half of the group moved away. :'0

I'm currently running a Zealot Barbarian! She's a Cheetah Tabaxi who was raised in the military. I played on the tabaxi history of being worth a lot in the slave market and created her backstory as being sold for a high price to the military.

I play Pathfinder mostly, because I enjoy the variety of character options. But I am currently playing in a 5e campaign. My character is Alester, the Dragonborn Eldritch Knight. My GM allowed a homebrew background called Royal Hero. He's the oldest of 5 children and is the Crown Prince of his people. I based him on a character from a novel I'm trying to write.

I have a Pathfinder version of Alester that's the 3PP race Dragonkin and is Inspired Blade Swashbuckler 1 / Oathbound Paladin 2 / Eldritch Scion Magus X. I haven't played this version yet due to me not liking to switch out characters unless they die and only having time for one game a week.

My first Pathfinder character died quickly - Lini the Archaeologist Bard Gnome. Think a short female Indiana Jones with bright pink hair. I rebuilt her to be focused on tripping and disarming and gave her a starting level of Inspired Blade for immediate Dex to Damage.

The character I've played the most is Irlana the Hunter Halfling. Hunter is a hybrid class of Druid and Ranger. She has a boar companion that she rides into battle. With the feats I picked out, she became an AoO machine. Basically, every time she crit, then the boar got a free attack. And when the boar got a free attack, she got a free attack. Same thing happened when the boar crit. And with a Keen Scimitar, she could crit on a 15. I also gave her 4 levels of Rogue for Sneak Attack and debuffing powers.

FYI, I really enjoy making Pathfinder characters, so I've got a ton that I haven't had a chance to play yet. This is going to be a long post.

Half-Orc Inquisitor with a double archetype for a bunch of synergy abilities for archery. Her name is Mazon. I only recently got a background story for her. It's a fairly standard 'mentor got killed and she's looking for revenge' story but it's better than nothing.

I have a human Cavalier, no backstory yet. Pretty standard fighting style of charge on the horse and hit foe with a lance.

I have a Half-Elf Monk, Kitsune Wizard, Elf Druid, and Dwarf Warpriest that all need to be rebuilt.

I have a pair of twins that are meant to be played together. They're nobles that had their fortunes, land, and titles stolen from them. They became thieves to steal it all back. Crissie is a Phantom Thief Rogue and Tristan is a Dashing Thief Swashbuckler. Their builds only work together so I doubt I'll be able to play them unless it's a solo game.

Then I made Pathfinder characters of DC's Captain Cold and Marvel's Hulk. Hulk is an Alchemist 8 and Barbarian 2 before going into the prestige class Master Chymist.

Captain Cold is a Gun Chemist X / Phantom Thief 2 / Trench Fighter 3 / Musketeer Cavalier 1. I plan to play him the very next chance I get.

Tara is from the same story as Alester. She's a human princess that disguises herself to go adventuring. Her parents forced her to learn magic but she managed to learn a bit of magic and some sword skills. She's a Falcata Swashbuckler 1 / Bard 1 / Vigilante X. I might have gone with Inspired Blade instead of Falcata, but I hate having my characters all use the same weapon and already had 3 with rapiers. The bard level covers both music and magic so it worked well.

Kei the Kitsune, also from that story. He's not royalty. He uses tooth and claw to fight rather than weapons. Other than a bow for ranged attacking needs. His race gives him a Bite attack and a level of Adaptive Shifter gives him Tail Slap. Then Feral Champion Warpriest for claw attacks.

And finally, a character I made just to see how many different natural weapons I could get on it. He's a Kasatha so he has 4 arms. 4 levels of Weretouched Shifter for Bite, Claws, and Talons. 3 levels of White Haired Witch for Hair attack. 2 levels of Barbarian for Gore attack. Make a Tentacle Cloak for Tentacle attack and add Dread enhancement to armor of Wing attacks. If the GM says I can't use my claws after level 4 due to how Weretouched works, switch the Barbarian rage power to get Claw attacks from that and make a Helm of the Mammoth Lord for a Gore attack. And he says that WH Witch's hair attack doesn't stack with Shifter, switch to vanilla Witch and get hair attack from that as they are considered different types of hair attacks. The feat Chaos Reigns get a Slam attack on one of the arms, leaving 4th arm free for a shield. And the feat Mutated Shape nets a Tail Sting.
The only natural weapons I wasn't able to get were Hoof, Tail Slap, and Pincers.

Ah, I'm someone who makes funny/entertaining min-max characters and I love them!!

During the Raveloft campaign, I had a drow warlock.... named Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way. She was very stuck-up and self-absorbed, but became obsessed with some village's mayor's emo son. After the campaign, she kidnapped him and lived happily ever after somewhere in the darkness.

I had a half-orc barbarian who loved to do everything parkour. She had hella STR and DEX, which meant some super Athletics and Acrobatics. So she was constantly jumping up walls, grappling, and wrestling every enemy. Her most famous feats were parkouring up some floating rocks and disabling and throwing some (essentially) pteradactyls off of a bridge atop a very very tall chasm. I adored her.

One of my more recent characters was a minotaur bard. They did not perform/play their lute very well. But they had a mad stinkeye (high Intimidation) instead. It didn't help that they had multiple scars that increased their intimidation. And on that note, by the gods I do love taking the crit table instead of taking crit damage.

Right now, I'm playing a dragonborn monk. He is very meek, the runt of his royal family, and ran away from the monastery his father put him in to learn some discipline. However, he loves fantasizing and romancing about pirates. So when the opportunity came to join a ship crew, he absolutely did. He never spent any of his earned fortune, however, and just prefers to spend his time fishing. The last battle is coming up, though, and so he has finally decided to spend his fortune on some really good hand and feet wraps that made his blows very very destructive. We'll see how his story ends soon.

hi! so i only played dnd once and it did not go well HAHA. but i do have interest in playing it again.

i played as a kenku named Punkin, he was a magic using rogue (don't know the term! i suck lol) who came from a farm. his favorite food was pumpkin seeds (taken after my real life pet bird!) and he would often steal them from the farmer for his wife and kids. i think his backstory was that the farmer was actually a magic user and decided to teach him instead of punishing him for stealing his food! :b
