i hyperfixiate, and what i'm focused on can change in a matter of seconds, hence the wide plethora of unfinished videogames, so there's always something new to do. i can never just solidly carry myself through one.
so, from Wii Sports Resort to BOTW Master Mode, Hollow Knight completion to starting BATIM and replaying Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon. this thread's mainly just me making documentations of what i've done, but i'm more than open to chatting about any game, that i've been playing or not.

i've been playing BOTW today, tryna get through Master Mode. took down Ruta the other day (was Waterblight really always that easy? damn) and i've been doing naff all to proceed with the game since.
i'm planning on hopping into the dark forest place next, then heading to Dueling Peaks to get both shrines there. i'm two hearts away from the Master Sword, and with every enemy having more health, weapons are less durable than ever. i need that blade.
silver enemies are already everywhere, and of course they're still blatantly easy to stunlock. that gives me money, which i've mainly been spending on bananas off of Yiga dudes. say what you like, i'm lazy and this is a good way to get 'em. hoping to get the barbarian tunic thing and be able to start whittling at Lynels soon.
currently about to hop back into PMD4. while i can't remember the exact layout of the earlygame story, we're on the day when we just met Ampharos- meaning the first of the three difficult parts of the storyline is very soon. the Poliwrath Bros boss. three Poliwrath and a couple of their lackeys. doesn't sound too bad, until you realise my team's one water-type, one fire-. and there's zero opportunity to grind levels prior to entering the dungeon, so i'm forcefully underlevelled here, outnumbered, surrounded and at a disadvantage. it's... not a fight i'm looking forwards to.
on the good side, though, if we win this there's no noteably hard points until late story.

just wanted to stop by and offer encouragement - I also hyperfixate + rarely finish games and I fully understand the struggle- my brains recently decided it needs to play Resident Evil just so much because of Jill Valentine, when I was previously in mid Tomb Raider marathon. To the point that I am now about to drive 20+ minutes to go get the new game because its out of stock in my town XD

@Blackthorns hah, yeah, it's irritating, especially in a marathon like that. only thing you can do for now is just to enjoy resident evil! i'm too much of a coward to play the series myself, but i know from popularity it's a game nothing short of a masterpiece. ...hence why i'm staying far away. update: got to Poliwrath River in PMD4, with Mr 'I literally die if my fire tail goes out' basically dragging me in. paused as i'm mainly through and i've had naught but bad luck, and i'm debating whether or not it'd be better ta just start the dungeon again.
got a bit more of BOTW in. i keep accidentially stumbling across shrines and they're always Major Test ones. it's tiring, to say the least. backtracked to Gerudo Desert, where i'm cleaning out a couple shrines there. i'm two orbs away from Master Sword.

also I greatly relate to being a coward but yanno, I'm having fun even if I'm terrified constantly (my life hack thus far has been to turn fear into either anger, or to just. try to laugh and make jokes)
+ it is really really well made- like the graphics alone are incredible.

oh i know that too, the like a million unfinished games thing... i usually only get thru the short indie ones, though i say that and i haven't finished goose game : - /
if you ever play hyper light drifter or abzû i would like a ping if that's ok! and hollow knight too

i'd try that myself, but in games i'm usually angry anyways. and 'OH GOD HE UGLY' isn't gonna always work... yeah, i'll just stick to games that are more 'threatening' than 'horror' tbh.
if you're enjoying it, though, that's what's important! good graphics always just really help a game go that extra mile, too. nothing i love more than just... unnecessarily good graphics just because they can.

i haven't played the first two, but if i do i'll let ya know! and for hollow knight, seeing as i frequently just do a couple boss practises here and there, i'll only ping if i do something... other than that! i've been looking to get through my achievements list, which includes, amongst others, a replay for desicive events, two speedruns, and full, 112% completion.

just been doing the dailies. got a godzilla shrine. farmed tarantulas, still waiting for Flick. filled up my storage with random stuff. still no idea if the LoZ amiibo would work on it.
BOTW:
got the Master Sword, proceeded to go Talus-hunting and immediately completed, like, the entire Medoh arc. next is to Death Mountain, though the fastest route I know in is through a path literally blocked with black and silver Lizalfos.
...also i've got the spirit shrines to do still.
Pokken Tournament:
yeah, i play this. only did a couple rounds though. currently playing as Weavile as i'm trying to get every fighter to lv 100. might take a while, but beating Pikachus senseless is very satisfying.

finally managed to get past what had been blocking me for far too long and immediately stumbled into another immoveable hurdle.
i finally, FINALLY, made it through Pantheon of the Sage after being unable to put up with GP Zote, Grimm and Uumuu all in one go, cleared the Soul and Mask bindings in Pantheon of the Artist...
immediately leapt straight into Pantheon of the Knight expecting to instantly die, made it all the way to the end (NKG wasn't there) and got chopped to bits. a week later and i still can't beat Pure Vessel.

If this ain't a mood... I have so many games I'd like to play. But then executive dysfunction comes along and now I have 20+ games on my backlog (please just let me finish super mario galaxy 2 for once)
anyways Poliwrath River is where I started to get mad at PMD4 because even though I myself was a Water type (Squirtle) and my partner was Pikachu, I still ended up dying there quite a bit. And PMD4 is NOT very gracious with those Reviver Seeds.
