I've been playing new leaf and Frita just moved in. She has taken the place of my favorite villager right above Pudge and Punchy. I just love how she's made out of food lol.

kyle. hes been my favorite since 2018!! i love him, but he moved out of my town after i was gone for like. 2 months. then i reset so many freaking times in hopes of getting him again but i still havent :( at least i have freya and bianca in my current town!

i went onto this thread to yell about my bro ribbot and someone beat me to it. he's absolutely the best.
also hopper. rockhoppers are characteristic penguins, and the big guy's iconic. what more do you want in a villager.
and, third, lucky. idk, something about having an actual egyptian mummy move in next to you and he's an absolure goofball who loves food.
speakin' for a friend here, their favourites are the great choices of marcel and jeremiah. they bought amiibo cards for the pair of 'em, and have been sending me pictures of the duo chatting ever since new horizons.
