Alright, well it's something I've been dying to talk about yet can't seem to find a thread for! Does anyone play Red Dead Redemption two? Is anyone else head over heels for it? I've been playing it for a few months; have done a bit of story mode, albeit spoiled some things for myself, and have been playing online steadily since.

Tell me your favorite things about it! If you play online, tell me your favorite role, or even your least favorite! I'm not an expert by any means, but I'd love to have a conversation about the game c:

A couple months ago my best bud allowed me to borrow her copy for a bit and then I played RDR1 and oh boy I loved it!
Never played the online version, I enjoy stories more, but do tell, how far are you in the story?

Yes hello (:

I've been playing pretty much since it came out. And yet, there' still stuff I don't know about xD Like, I just did a little side mission the other day I had no clue about. Not sure if it was recently added or not though.

I think my favorite part of the game is just.. Everything. I really love the environments, the dialog's, the characters, etc. It's just a really amazing game <3

As for online well. I just can't get into it :T I'm not big on playing with people I don't know, and I don't like when people kill others when they're minding their own business (like fishing or something) It just ruins it for me. If we could choose a server or make our own where we can play by ourselves, I'd probably play it more.

That's awesome !! The story is definitely enrapturing- and all of the characters are so diverse and lifelike! I didn't get too far into the story myself, somewhere soon after the Clemens Point chapter. I stopped playing story mode I think along the lines of right after the Horse Flesh for Dinner mission-? But I thoroughly enjoyed my time doing everything up to that point!

How is the first game? o: I haven't gotten around to play it yet, but it looks like a blast!

@Fourr

Hello I love the gif in your sig

I can totally see that!! There's so much content to it that I don't even think I've covered a quarter of what you can do in-game.

It really is an amazing game! The graphics get me every time, all of the detail that was put into everything really shows. I love all of the wildlife and the diversity in what npcs say. Plus there are tons of little hidden areas that can be found which are just astounding (or scary, eep).

Online is definitely a bit.. rambunctious? I get griefed a lot, so I can see where you're coming from not wanting to play. It's hard to find people that actually want to work on ranking up instead of starting massacres in Valentine haha. Not too many of my friends play red dead, and the ones that do play on different platforms so it can get a bit boring playing by myself online. I'd really love it if they considered adding cross-platforming to it! It'd also totally be sweet if they added in the option to make your own server! I feel like they could really benefit if they added that in.

The first game is absolutely amazing! The graphics aren’t the best because of course it’s an older game, but the story is absolutely brilliant! I highly recommend playing it

Yes! I've not played any online yet, but I've been playing the actual game ... for a long while.

I played it through once (for my 100%) and am wading through it again, though I had to take a break because my blu-ray drive on my PS4 decided to die a death and I had to re-buy it from the store as a download because I missed it so much.

The story mode is excellent. I absolutely love Rockstar's ability to craft likeable (and dislikeable) characters and give them interesting things to do. The sheer amount of banter available is ... fantastic, honestly. I'm still discovering new lines of dialogue even after playing it solidly for like, a year, and aggressively stalking members of the gang around the camp for that long.

Also the world itself. All the things to discover. The rock carvings, the dinosaur bones, points of interest, stranger missions and even the little inconsequential discoveries that are just fun to stumble across, like the gorilla, the eagle nest, the people who live in tree houses, the giant and tinier things, like the carvings on tree trunks.

The different horses, the fact that animals behave naturally (stags rutting, foxes doing snow pounces, eagles hunting for rabbits and snakes ...) and the random conversations people have...

The depth is astounding.

I love some of the characters so much. SO MUCH.

On my current playthrough, I've just got to the camp after Clemens Point.

Since I have nothing to spend money on lately (Lockdown and all) I might pay for a PS+ subscription to give RDO a try. I figure it might be a fun way to pass the time, but coming into it so late makes me leery owing to griefers.

UK time. Sorry for timezone-related delays in responses. They/Them.
@Chlorine I know this is quite old but I've been dying to talk with people about it too and offline haven't really found much of a connection about it with others. If you're still interested in chatting about it, consider me more than eager :)

@Greyjoy Woah, my apologies! I must've missed the notif months ago and never checked the thread again [emoji=banescale scared size=1] The game is definitely still ever astounding! Like you've said, there are new tidbits to find in dialogue and scenery all the time, despite how many hours I've put in! There's an everlasting love for the characters and the creatures. Their attention to detail is -chef kiss- to die for, honestly. I hope you were able to experience RDO! I myself haven't logged on for a hot minute, but it's still quite the trip! I especially enjoy that the variety of things to do only expands when you play online. @RogueHazel I'm always down to chat about a good game! Lay it on me! I'd love to hear about your experiences with red dead! o:
