Ever heard of it? Curious? Love the show? Hate it? Let's discuss (because nobody I know has ever heard of it and I hate fangirling by myself)

Oh gosh, FARSCAPE. It's been more than a decade, but I used to love that show. As a recall, the later seasons diverged into some extreme weirdness but I still think it was a great show that really worked hard to be unique.

Also I know the pain - no one I ever ask has hard of it. XD;

Yeah, the last season and PK-Wars were a bit odd....but still pretty good.

Who's your favorite character?

@Andalite That's a very good (and hard) question, actually.

I would say that both Aeryn Sun and Zhaan were my favorites. Aeryn was an Action Girl cliche that demonstrated that she could become far more than the simple soldier she was intended to be. Zhaan was a pacifist who struggled with her choices and showed that a person can be kind but still formidable. They were also hilarious in terms of dialogue/one liners.

Honestly, all the major characters were given depth and were not what they first appeared to be. I also really enjoyed the portrayal of John Crichton. They avoided the cliches of things like John Carter, where a normal human is thrown into a new world and magically masters everything ever in days. John makes pop culture jokes no one gets, makes mistakes and fails, and consistently uses only the skills he knows or has to learn.

HARVEY!!! Mah neural-clone boi! I find him a very interesting and funny character, starting off as nothing more than an evil clone and evolving into his own person. I wish he'd had more screen time and got to interact with the others (like how he met D'Argo in that episode with the party planet).

I also really like Pilot. I feel like he didn't get enough credit for all he had to put up with.

All of the characters are pretty complex and interesting tbh.
Not a fan of Sakozu tho

I used to love this show, think I have the boxset around somewhere. I should rewatch it.

This was what introduced me to Claudia Black too.

[/quote] At least they got to finish it with the mini-movie thing rather than ending on a huge cliffhanger. I remember one of the things I loved been the concept of the spaceship they were on been a living being.
