What are your favorite movies with pretty cinematography? Any color palettes you like a lot in film?

From the top of my head, I really love the cinematography of Kubo and the Two Strings (2016). The oranges, reds, and blues are so vibrant.

Another one has to be Vertigo (1958). The greens!! And the use of highlighting characters and moods is sooo well done,, like man.
(Honorable mentions: O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000), Princess Mononoke (1997), Alien (1979))
So yea, what are your thoughts?

I absolutely adored Song of the Sea! The style, story, and colors were all so stunning. I need to watch it again lol, though I don't think my heart can handle it.

What Dreams May Come has some of the most gorgeous cinematography / vivid pallets. It's breathtaking the first time, like watching a painting melt.

I also really appreciate La Vita e Bella, specifically because of the gorgeous campy color in the first half and the absolutely heart wrenching bleakness of the second half.

I really loved the movies of Winter’s Tale (the book by Mark Helprin, not the Shakespeare play) and The Vintner’s Luck by Elizabeth Knox, because both books have this beautiful, ethereal feel to them and their respective films capture it astonishingly well.

I've always loved Mirror Mask. It's quite an older movie from 2005, but to me it's very unique.
Might sound boring, but Avatar, too. I just... adore it. The jungle during the night? The skies, the moons/planets? Na'vi themselves? Gorgeous beyond words.
These are the two that appeared in my mind right now but I am 100% I have more... I just saw a lot of movies haha

I suppose my definition of beautiful is different than others, but Wall-E. They managed to bring out the beauty in a planet covered in trash (particularly in the scenes where Wall-E is taking care of shut down Eve) and brought out the beauty of space. Plus I like the 1940's-1950's vibe.

For just visuals alone, Your Name was gorgeous. The art was hypnotizing. But I also think A Silent Voice is just beautiful, in more ways than just looks. Gets me crying every time I watch, and even my brother was made emotional by it. Trying to think of others... I found Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole to be so pleasing to watch! I love how everything manages to look real, as well as stylized (and screw the haters, I actually thought the movie did a better job of the story than the books... fight me)
Might sound boring, but Avatar, too. Bambi. It's always been gorgeous and it still holds up.

Might sound boring, but Avatar, too. I think what caused it to take a bit of a popularity hit was the backlash against the perception that it was somehow a feat of storytelling. Back to positivity; Moana. That movie is beautiful.

Hmm... I really liked Coco and its message that family is important no matter what and that you should remember them dead or alive. I also ADORED the songs, visuals and story. La Llorona is one of my favourite songs from it and I've memorized it quite nicely.
