lol i know. i love cat villagers and i found raymond charming when i first saw him, but he's really not that great. none of the villagers are worth what people pay for them imo.

Seeing people basically worship Raymond freaks me out lol. He happens to be one of the most demanded villagers in the animal crossing community right now, so people are willing to pay whatever it takes to get him. He’s unfortunately been the cause of some arguments in the community, where people are basically fighting over him.

His design seems really plain to me. The game has such beautiful and creative desings.
This here? Literally just a normal cat. I like cats, I have two irl, but in a game like that I very much prefer the fantastical over the mundane.

I don't get the hype either, I love cats, I like cat villagers. But there are better ones - looks wise - can't say anything about personality since I don't have him in my village. I'd prefer Lolly over him every day tho.

I don't like him too. It's crazy that people spend that much money for some cat villager that probably will move out next week. They could've brought back characters from first game that didn't show up in any other game. Like I would really love to see Meow and Bow or even the splatoon amiibo squirrels in the newer games.
