Somewhere in like late May it began pouring, and now that summer has rolled in the remaining humidity + the heat is probably a good incubation environment for these god awful bugs to hatch.
Lately I've been seeing an influx of gnats, who presumably live in the dirt of my plants and GOD I hate them. These bitches are also soooo ballsy. Legit one of them flew underneath my glasses (not like they flew under my glasses and close to my eye, but they flew close enough to where it seemed pretty large). On top of that they're so incredibly fast. The moment I see one of these bastards I try to look to something to kill them, only for them to disappear the moment I turn back.

"Go outside and play, it's so lovely!" Easy for you to say, Mr. I-Live-On-The-West-Coast-And-Have-Never-Felt-A-Drop-Of-Humidity-In-My-Life.
For us easterners/southerners, summertime is a curse. I always kinda felt guilty about the fact that I never liked to play outside in the summer as a kid, but in my defense, I'm not too fond of feeling like I'm walking around covered in a hot wet blanket.

Why is a mouse when it spins? The higher the fewer!
Bruh, Gnats have been wild where I am too. They get in my house somehow, despite bug screens and it's just UGH

Have you tried making a gnat trap with apple cider vinegar?

The idea of doing so completely avoided my mind, but I'm certainly gonna try it now that you mention it (and if we have apple cider vinegar in the house)
Edit: looked around and it doesn't seem like we have any apple cider vinegar. There *is* a vinegar looking bottle, but there's no label on it so I'm just gonna have to ask about that later.

I've never hoarded items before but I've made it my goal to see just how much salt I can accumulate. Send me those sweet salt stacks, you wont regret it. (4968 piles of salt)

The heat in Middle June (especially at where I live) is good enough for melting.

oh same, I'm VERY sensitive to humidity + it just ruins summer for me. in theory I love summer- lots of plants, lots of sun, but in practice I can't spend more than a minute outside without overheating and feeling ill.

I went outside the other day and it felt like I stepped into a sauna, immediately noped right back into the AC lol. I live by literal marshland and urgh the humidity is god awful. I'm actually moving to the west coast soon and am so hyped about the change in humidity.

I live on the east coast, and the past week or so we've had nothing but rainy thunderstorms. I actually went outside to play tennis right after it had rained and the humidity was horrible. I had trouble breathing it was so nasty hhh also it was like 90 degrees f so it wasn't very pleasant
