Hey guys! For Pride Month I'd love to hear all about your favorite LGBTQ media! [emoji=rainbow star 2 size=1] Comics, Webcomics, Movies, TV Series, Books, etc. Tell me all about it! Please keep in mind that everyone may not like the same things, but that whatever a person brings up is special to them and that's valid. Oh, but can't you feel it?! The void, it's calling me- Calling all of us! It wants to eat our souls, so that we never ascend to the heavens, it wants to absorb us! It needs sustenance, so that it may expand and envelop this whole useless world! All that muck and grime, the ooze, it will fill every crevice of reality, and it will change the world into a paradise! All you have to do is live to see it!
And why aren't I scared? Because the void is the afterlife, and I am its Grim Reaper!
The most recent She-Ra reboot, of course! [emoji=unicorn size=1]

I really love She-ra and the Princesses of Power! I actually have one of the OG books from the 80’s thanks to a bookfair in my library :’)

The way the handled LGBT+ rep (along with chronic illnesses and autism is Justin mwah) ~ an Autistic (possible) lesbian.

They didn’t just make the side characters gay, nah... they made the main character and a redeemed villain gay! TOGETHER! We got quite a lot of LGBT+ side characters which are all just... so beautiful. George and Lance are the best dads in the entire universe, Double Trouble is that one really extra theatre kid who laughs when someone falls and don’t get me started on the goldmine that’s Spinerella & Nettosa’s marriage- (also kyle and rogelio is relationship goals and you can FIGHT me over that jk jk)

So beautiful-

Unfortunately, the show is over but it’s still so beautiful :’)

@PearlConner Yessss, I'm a big fan of Steven Universe! I feel like it really helped me come to terms with how I much self-hate I'd felt about being queer and I'm so happy that younger generations are getting positive representation! :)

@CrystalPeacock A very well written and thought provoking show! It's dark and it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoyed it and am a fan of Kyousya. But yeah, Homura was not a good person. I can pity her suffering, but that doesn't excuse her actions.

@Dethroned @SunnySunflower I haven't seen it, but I have heard great things about She-Ra! I think I'm going to make it the next series I watch, because I've been really looking for something new and positive. :D

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power reboot is AMAZING! Queer representation is everywhere and is positive and is so nonchalant about it as well. I feel like it's great for normalizing queer relationships and non-straight romances.

Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts is also great so far! It only has 1 season on Netflix, but season 2 is coming out very soon!

Also, Steven Universe is amazing, as everyone else is saying. For many reasons. It's great in helping others deal with their own feelings towards themselves.

I'm so happy with how much better media, especially children's media, is getting with queer representation. It's so much better than when I was a kid.

@JCStitches

Its helped me with a lot too. I'm not exactly LGBTQ myself but I appreciate the community as many friends I have are and I'm questioning I suppose.

It was a masterpiece yes

She-ra, she-ra so, so much

I feel like a broken record at this point but that show had so many things going for it I'm actually sad it ended, but I couldn't be happier with how it ended.

it's just *chef kiss*

It managed to make me love, hate, love to hate and hate to love many of its characters.

It was also so full of gay to the brim, obviously. I got so used to the massive amount of gay that by the end I didn't even realize how big/important the finale was until I took a step back.

Also Adora is such a dumb jock lesbian baby I love her so much. In the past years many shows have failed to captivate me by their main character, as I often find villains and side characters more intersting; and while that's true here as well, I truly fell in love with Adora. Also she's like, so relatable… she goes heart eyes on literally every muscular woman she sees, like, sis same… but also she can become the big muscular woman herself and skdjhgakdhagljkahgl.

it's a very positive cartoon and has quite a lot of funny moments… but be warned, season 4 hits hard :,)
