I'm curious to see what types of characters all of you play... and I also wanna show off a little, too. I'll start off by telling you guys about Achilles.

He's a monk aasimar with the sailor background, having the appearance of a firbolg (as I thought it played a more interesting dynamic in his backstory than being an aasimar that appeared to be human)
He was given to a sailing monastery as a baby by his parents, fearing the life such a child may have to take on in their clan. He was raised by the monks, learning their ways and eventually going on his own to adventure and gain wisdom.

My D&D character?
A headstrong Dragonborn princess called Renata Prynne. Blue scales, tragic backstory...Also owns an Adamantium Dagger at lvl 5. I know. It's a looong story.
And as for class? Wizard all the way.
You may be able to tell that I love blue dragons. Just look at my lair.

I see the spine of the world
Sparkle and shine, light the inside
I see the spine of the world
I know it's mine, twisted and tied
My current D&D character is a
kitsune Rakshasa tiefling named Fujin Windsong.
His faceclaim is the Aerborne Ambassador—the familiar looked so cute, and I was like,
"Haha, I regret sleeping on the Ambassadors!" so I thought it'd make a good caster character. He is a noble, born as the eldest child and only son to the seventh generation's seventh son of his clan. His retainers are the Spirit of Wind, the Gusting Goblin, and the Cloudkeeper Herald.
He's a Storm Sorcerer, but the most that he can do (for now) is lift himself off the ground, run around to escape trouble, and make the breeze pick up every now and then! He has a bit of mischief on him, much to the annoyance of his guardian the Cloudkeeper Herald, but Fujin has never laid a harmful hand on anyone. He just wants to fly around, have fun, and see the world!

the character i use is a warforged lady (reflavored as a human cyborg)!
she's great with guns despite having only one eye (although there are three smaller eyes inside her eye), and pretty.much sticks out like a sore thumb in a party that consists of a kalashtar sorcerer, a crab person, and the cutest tabaxi. Sunder Series 2, Sunder2, or just Sunny, was pinched by techno-drow but manage to escape before they truly turned her into a weapon for them, which explains her hatred for the drow and spiders in general. she's also a great cook and would cook the crab person if they weren't in her party. hwr personality is like... imagine baymax. but wayyyyy snarkier. for example, "LOOKING AT YOUR INJURIES, I DECLARE THAT YOUR CURRENT CONDITION IS: PUNCHLINE." she also has great trouble showing her emotions since her brain computer really messed with her, y'know, brain.

i have a high elf girl who's a wild magic sorcerer but instead of the normal random magic effects she'll just randomly raise the dead!
because of this and the fact her parents are snobs who only care for their family's reputation she got the harry potter treatment and was locked inside the house until your friendly neighborhood rouges broke in with intent to rob the place and left with a surprise adoption instead (don't worry they are very good parents, if a little morally gray when it comes to life lessons and love their new child very dearly.)

It's my first time playing DnD with some friends and my character (first one ever made) is a dragon born sorcerer named Fai. He has copper scales that fade into white, and gold eyes. He's very gentle and soft spoken and he went on a journey to learn more about magic and the world's languages. We haven't gotten around to play much due to quarantine and university stuff, but I'm really excited to get to use him in a campaign.
Basically just a character that combines my favorite things : dragons, witchcraft and languages. :)

Oooh, using UA stuff? That's really new to me. I've never used it tbh. Sounds really interesting though!

Someone once told me you could make a miku build of warforged bard and I've thought about it a lot, but I've never actuLly played one. Seems like a lot of fun! You should totally show me ur sheet :3

Oh geez, that sucks.... I think our characters would get along, familial rejection since a very young age and being taken away by well meaning but intense looters.

dichlormethane
I'm gonna play a dragonborn character soon.... have you and your party tried meetings online? Discord skype zoom etc. Makes it a lot easier on my group since we're all 10+ hours away from eachother

I forgot to post about this guy, kit jr.! He went adventuring in search of riches and another dragonborn to be romantically involved with, being the literal golden boy folk hero of his clan.

Merryseadragon Not really UA; it's homebrew content allowed in the 5e Discord server that I'm in. :) When I was making Fujin, I couldn't think of a good race that would fit him both in features and in flavor, so I went with a homebrew tiefling variant that descended from the rakshasa.
