I currently am over-obsessed with Star Wars and my family is tired of hearing about it so I'm putting this up for anyone else who has literally anything appropriate that they cant shut up about rn.

Well if you dont want spoilers stop reading! Imma go thru the whole storyline bc I am bored out of my mind XD. (I'm going through almost all the shows and every movie)

The galaxy started out as a (mostly) peaceful republic. The trade federation had just tried to force the queen on the planet of Naboo to sign a treaty and she refused. The federation traveled to the surface of the planet and captured the queen. The Republic had sent two Jedi to try to negotiate with the federation. One of the Jedi was a Padawan, meaning his training had not been completed. The other was his teacher. They showed up on the space station of the trade federation only to find they were not welcome there. They stowed away on two separate space ships and landed on the surface of Naboo. In the confusion caused by the Trade Federation, the teacher (forgot to say his name but hes called Qui-gon) met a local named Jar-Jar Binks. Jar-Jar and Qui-gon found the Padawan (Named Obi-Wan Kenobi) and they proceeded to visit a hidden city where they borrowed a submarine-like vehicle to use to travel through the planet core to reach the capitol quickly. The helped the queen escape and hoped into a space ship but while they were leaving the planet their ship was damaged. They were forced to land on a nearby planet called Tatooine to find parts and repair the ship. They had no money to buy parts but found an alien named Wato who was willing to bet with them for the parts. They met a boy named Anikan Skywalker and his mother Shmi Skywalker who were slaves to Wato. Anikan was only a young boy but he could participate in a dangerous sport called podracing. Qui-gon bet with Wato that Anikan would win a podrace and Wato agreed that if the boy pulled it off, he would be free and Qui-gon could have the parts he needed for free. Long story short, Anikan won the race and agreed to go with Qui-gon to train and become a Jedi. once the ship had been fixed, the group finished the journey back to the galaxy's capitol and tried to get the galactic senate to aid the people of Naboo. The queen of Naboo decided that the Senate was taking too long on their decision and so travelled back to her planet. were they attempted to tack back the capitol with the help of some locals. When they got into the capitol, they were met by a Sith (someone who could use the dark side of the force) Qui-gon and Obi-Wan told everyone else to take a different route to the throne room while they battled the Sith. Anikan had hidden himself in the cockpit of a spaceship. The spaceship he was in turned itself on and switched to autopilot. He lost control of it and ended up flying right into a battle ground in space where people were trying to blow up the Trade Federation space station. he regained cotrol of the ship and flew it through a small hole in the station and blew it up from the inside and just barely escaped with his life. The two jedi facing the Sith started their lightsaber battle. They ended up in a room with a huge hole in the center. The sith stabbed Qui-gon and fatally wounded him. Obi-Wan managed to cut the sith in half and then the sith fell into the hole. Obi-Wan ran to Qui-gon who asked Obi-Wan to promise him that he would train Anikan to be a Jedi. The group got back together and peace was restored to Naboo. Obi-Wan finished his training and took Anikan as his own Padawan.

This was The Phantom Menace from the prequel trilogy. I cant type more rn but i will continue tomorrow

when asked to info-dump, i lose all my knowledge............wonderful. anyway, i'll try to recall what i can. its not exactly something i've been gushing on about, just knowledge from research or whatever that.....i have nobody to talk to about :') these will mostly be about nihonto.....japanese blades.....hmm yes
i just wanna share some stuff my brain acquired thru a rat-fever-possessed research of 3 hours.

>when you think of japanese swords/blades in general, katana usually comes to mind. but japanese blades have many types; tsurugi(two-bladed short sword), uchigatana(a descendant of tachi, though shorter), tachi(quite popular thru heian-muromachi period), wakizashi(short sword, longer than tantou), tantou(short sword...swordsmith toshiro made a lot of these *sweats).......the list expands. a lot. katana is a type of japanese sword as well. naginata and yari are japanese spears(the former being one-bladed, the latter being double-bladed). classification for japanese blades in general is called nihonto(u).

>at the end of ww2, many japanese swords were confiscated by the occupying american forces. about 200,000 of them were dumped in sea. so much for japan's precious metal resources..

>the wakizashi horikawa kunihiro(belonging to hijikata toushiro) is theorized to have been one of the many swords confiscated after ww2. of course, this is just a theory and unconfirmed. the wakizashi's location is still unknown.

>sanjou munechika/kokaji is a swordsmith during the heian period who made some of the oldest and most famed swords. his works include mikazuki munechika, one of the 5 tenka-goken swords, and kogitsunemaru, a sword fabled to have been aided by a fox(messenger of inari) during the process of smithing.

>the two treasured swords of the minamoto clan, hizamaru and higekiri(onikiri, as i first knew it by) have changed names multiple times, though the latter has changed names way more times. hizamaru was, chronologically, referred to by these names: makuragami, hizamaru, kumokiri-maru, hoemaru and usu-midori. higekiri, on the other hand, was referred to by these names(once again chronologically): sun-nashi, tomokiri, higekiri, onikiri, shishi-no-ko, tomokiri(again) and higekiri(once again). if you want to know more about the story behind their renamings, you can read this article.

>ootachi are the longest(and certainly most impressive imho) nihonto in terms of blade. any blade 90cm or longer would be considered an ootachi. they were normally forged to present the swordsmith's skills, and were used in worship rather than war, despite being long enough to slice 3 men standing in a horizontal line. however, during the battle of anegawa, makara naotaka and his son naomoto wielded the ootachis taroutachi and jiroutachi into battle. they lost though, big F

>japan was feudal during a huge chunk of its history. the emperor was allowed to be the emperor, but he had no control over the country. the shogunate was the one in control. a particularly famous shogun in popular media would be oda nobunaga. feudal japan ended with the meiji restoration, where the imperial family took back their control.

>the tantou chatannakiri was said to be a cooking knife. there's a story of sorts behind it.

and. i think that's all i have at least. why do i know about this? thanks to toukenranbu :')

Man, this thread is like Aspie paradise! :P

I'm not currently in a rambling phase about any of my special interests, but I wish I were, because this would be a great place to unwind.

While FNAF has a love/hate thing going on online, and I can't handle horror that well, I do have to say that it gave me a intense interest in animatronics. I don't know enough to do a huge info dump but no one else around really..cares. Sooo..
I feel like it's really cool, turning metal, wires, and either fiberglass, faux fur, rubber, or silicone into a moving, talking/singing/roaring/ect creature. Things you wouldn't expect being 'life-like' becoming, sometimes, almost exactly like the real counterpart (or how you'd expect them to look in the real world if they're completely fictional- like dragons or anthro animals).
It's amazing to watch people work on/create these things, even if it's as simple as a swaying/waving FNAF character (Helpy, in this case https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjI-NwZ89Fk) and gives me a desire to try. I probably wouldn't be able to pull it off, but the desire is there, lol. ^^

@ENDragon6 I'm not too much into Star Wars, but the way you wrote it out made it actually seem kind of interesting. The name Jar-Jar Binks makes me laugh, though. Is this when Anakin was around 6 years old? I remember seeing a really young kid in trailers.

Infodump time:
Benrey from HLVRAI is an interesting antagonist to me because he is fueled by pettiness and spite. I don't think I've seen a villain motivated by something so small before. I'm not saying that it doesn't exist, I just haven't come across it before in the media I've consumed. It is really funny though, in my opinion. I also find the concept of an extremely powerful being having the personality of an idiotic teenager/young adult who's main goal is something as banal as playing Playstation an intriguing topic. Also, the idea of someone being possessed and driven insane by their own skeleton is hilarious, lol.
