TOPIC | Know some good nature yt channels?
I'm in the mood for some cool nature videos, and would like some recommendations. Preferably in a documentary style with not much human interference, but I'm okay with other things too. I'm especially interested in the weirder, lesser-known parts of nature, but again, anything goes. Extant or extinct, both is fine.

There is however one thing I want of them: They should be positive or neutral about the life they talk about.
I recently found a channel I thought was cool, until some videos from them started popping in my recommendations with titles like 'The biggest nope' or 'Your worst nightmare'. Instant unsubscribe. Nature is not always conventonally pretty, and it does not need to be pretty. It is just something that is, no more, no less.

Thanks already for your recs!

Ha, love him. Not exactly neutral, but I dig his style. He's great. My favourite episode is probably the one about polychaetes, partially for bringing one of my favourite animals to the general public: Ramisyllis multicaudata.
Which is another thing I like about him. He often talks about fairly obscure things.

Wild Earth does daily safari drives. They have multiple guides that observe the animals and if you catch the livestream you can ask questions (and the first 45 minutes of every stream is for kids questions only). I prefer watching them on twitch, but their youtube is here. The animals on the featured reserve properties are free to come and go, but most are habituated to the vehicles (they do not consider them food or a threat) so you are able to see an up-close look at natural behavior.

The other is EVNautilus. They do live underwater exploration! I've watched some of their live broadcasts, but they always upload highlight videos. Youtube is here.

There's this one channel called Brave Wilderness, they explore nature-ey areas and see what creatures they can find!

Don't know if you're into pre-historic stuff, but I love Ben G Thomas channel. He doesn't do only pre-historic animals, but it's mainly evolution videos. Super interesting :)

@LemonSnickers @FreyaShadow

Ayy, I know these two. They are pretty great and I like both of them.
Although I gonna admit Coyote Peterson sometimes gets a bit too sensationalist for my tastes. Like especially in the videos that are just about him getting bitten/stung.

@Arcwind

Ohh, these are new to me. I gotta check them out. Thanks!

Deep Look is a favorite of mine! They make relatively short videos though if you're looking for anything longer than 5 minutes.

I'm a fan of Crime Pays But Botany Doesn't. The channel talks a lot about western US botany and soil environments. The guy that runs the channel used to be a freight train operator and was just interested in the ecosystems he'd pass by on trains and became a self-taught botanist. He's pretty fun to watch!
