I am a Linkin Park fan. Have been since elementary school. LOVE THEM TO DEATH, but I think it's time I started listing to more Alternative Rock groups now.

I've already started listening to Imagine Dragons. They have quite a few songs that I like, if that tells you anything about my taste. I'm also a little bit of a Green Day fan, as well as a few others that I can't remember at 2 in the morning.

SO I BESEECH THEE!! Gimmie some good music? Please? ;-;

Starset- Rock group with serious space-y vibes. I've noticed them rising in popularity lately, so I wouldn't be surprised if these guys get seconded by a few others. But seriously, their music is really good. I don't think there's a song of theirs I don't like.
A few favorite songs: Satellite, Other Worlds Than These, Halo, My Demons

The Score- Another fun alternative rock group. Music, in my opinion, is pretty positive and uplifting. Several of their "harder" songs make pretty good workout music, but more often than not I find myself listening to these guys while grinding in the coli.
A few favorite songs: Unstoppable, Legend, Miracle, Best Part

Those are my two current favorites. The other "rock" groups I listen to are more "hard rock" than alternative, but if you're interested I can still shoot you the names and a few song recs~

I'm a huge fan of U2, Arctic Monkeys, and Modest Mouse. Modest Mouse is kind of an acquired taste but still cool nonetheless. I highly recommend Arctic Monkeys though, one of my favorite bands of all time, especially with their AM album.

There's a ton of alternative mixes on YouTube and Spotify you can try as well, that's where I discover new bands to listen to if I'm in a rush or busy doing something else.

I second Starset, their song My Demons is one of my all time favorites!
And I frickin love The Score too. @lefraise
Stronger is another song from The Score I'd recommend.

Another starset fan here! They really are good. I genuinely get lost on the differences between different types of rock buuut I think Muse might be alternative??? It's an older group and one I've listened to for years. Here's one of their songs to give you an idea.

Supermassive Black Hole: https://youtu.be/N-_mHedypEU

There's also Fall Out Boy. They dabble in a lot of different genres but they do alt rock. Two of my fave songs from them are:

The Phoenix: https://youtu.be/5JqY-6q-RNA

Thanks for the Memories: https://youtu.be/j7aQDJLjiD4

They also did the song Immortals from the movies Big Hero Six.

Shinedown is another really good one I'd say.

OOH OH!I just thought of another one! You might not like all of their songs but Poets of the Fall have a few excellent ones.

This an absolute cracker that will get stuck in your head, called My Dark Disquiet: https://youtu.be/SRQGOtBVELo

Thats my old music taste! I have since developed a pallet for goth and folk- so I'll give a few band ideas?

-Nico Vega - I think you'll love them- the lead singer is? was? married to the lead singer of Imagine Dragons, so their music ranges from heavier rock to alt rock. recommended song: Beast

- Florence + The Machine - tbh her and hozier bridged the gap between alt and folk for me. good if you like dramatic fantasy retellings of being a disaster human. recommended song: delilah

I have more but I dont wan't to spam ya

I'm not into the Linkin Park genre exactly but if it's alternative rock, you can't go wrong with Wuthering Heights. It's on the theatrical and powermetal side of rock, but if that's something you enjoy, give it a try perhaps?
