Would anyone be willing to tell me something nice that has happened to them recently?
I was just told Sunday that the woman I’m renting my house from wants me out in 1-2 months. I’m super stressed trying to find places that let me have my 2 dogs and be available in that short amount of time.
My brother and his girlfriend have offered to help but I only recently reconnected with him and don’t want to feel like I’m using him. My parents don’t seem to be taking this that seriously and I’m honestly crying everyday and just feel so beaten down.
I honestly could use a hug but if anyone could tell me some good news I’d really appreciate it.

@coolrat I’ve wanted to get a betta fish again but I had no place for a take and my house did not stay very warm in the winter so there was always that fear that something would happen.

My friend's daughter I help raise decorated a birthday cake for me.

It is so caked in various kinds of sprinkles (a good variety of normal multicolored, Halloween shapes, unicorn shapes, star shapes and a few others)and those little edible decorations that you can barely see the icing. It is basically chaotic messy candy coated cake.

And I absolutely love it. You could offer me a choice between this cake and a fancy artistically decorated cake and I'm picking this cake. It was decorated by someone who gets me.

I've gotten better at typing things, and learning where to put commas since I've forgotten how to use them in most places. So I've been rewriting my OC's backstories and making them longer. They sound a lot better now! I still have a lot to finish, but I'm proud of myself for this x3

@FawnQueen I sure hope you accept your brothers help if you find yourself with no other options ): as long as you’re working hard to get yourself into a better place in your life, you won’t look like a mooch. You have a family member who cares, and that in itself is so special and rare. He sounds like a wonderful brother.

And in good news, I started writing down a plan to pay my bills on what days every month and created a very organized budget for myself. I’m going to do that every month and get my debts settled hopefully within 2 and a half years :) it’s been working really well and I’ve not only been able to afford paying off my debts now, but I’m saving money too. I set up 3 stock accounts and I’m watching my future play out. I’m manifesting for better! Better than this roach infested studio apartment. Maybe better like a backyard for my dog.

@Alligatorfeet yeah I’m meeting with my parents this weekend to see what can be done and if we can’t figure something out I’ll probably take my brother up on his offer even though it’ll tick my parents off. They hate his girlfriend cuz they all got into it really bad last year and she’s willing to just agree that they don’t like each other and not mess with my parents but my parents just keep jabbing at her.

That is awesome that you are budgeting out and getting a plan together! I managed to pay off my car a whole 4 years early in March. I’ve still got my student loans to deal with but I’m trying to get my crochet projects out and hopefully people will start placing orders so I can get a bit of extra income. I’ve always wanted to invest in stocks but I have no idea how to do that so that’s awesome that you’ve got that figured out! I hope you get a good back yard for your pup soon. I’m so happy that you are bettering yourself and getting a brighter future!

@FawnQueen ugh why do adults do that man? I’m sorry, I’m sure both your parents and your brothers girlfriend are wonderful people, despite their differences. I’m just so bothered when adults can’t put aside their passionate emotions to maintain a healthy relationship with their kids. I don’t know the situation so I can’t judge it too much, but I hope no matter what happens, you can hold onto your sanity if you have to end up in the middle of it ):

Ah! Yes that’s the plan! It’s a long, infuriating story, but I’m stuck with two car notes. One for $430/month and one for $350/month. One of those cars is no longer with me. When it got totaled I had the buy another reliable car to keep my job (delivery). It’s been a terrible year, and it eats at me that I’m stuck paying $430 a month for literally nothing. I’m trying to pay it off now in 2 and a half years instead of the 5 years I had remaining on the loan.

Also, I recommend Robinhood and Acorns for learning how to invest :D I use American Century Investments for my big investments, but the two apps I named are great for storing small amounts and learning how it works. I invest $20/week into each account and watch the money go up and down. ACI I invest $500 at a time, just whenever I reach that amount in my savings account. My grandma set that account up for me so I don’t know what I’m investing in but it’s very reliable lol.
