My mom and dad currently have it. My mom has
mild symptoms. My dad caught double pnemonia
on top of it and is currently in the ICU.

I hadn't been around them, so I'm sure I don't
have it, but I am still currently out of work while
waiting for test results.

ETA
My dad passed on 11-15

Two friends of mine got it, so far nobody physically close to me has gotten it so that’s good. I worked at amazon for a bit, (treats their workers so awful that I no longer even buy from the site, I wish more people would look into this and reconsider buying from them BUT that’s aside the point) anyways they’ve had a few cases of covid there, I don’t think anyone close to me or my friend who worked with me there. But there wasn’t even hazard pay.

It also just sucks that people are politicizing wearing a mask and such, it’s courtesy and though you’ll willingly endanger yourself like that there are other people to think about.

Edit: I hope your parents make it through, it’s a scary thing that can affect some like a cold but like my friends mom; give them almost every symptom you could imagine as well as cripple them for weeks/months afterwards.

i really hope things get better for you

There's a few cases in my town and a school got shut down because there was a case in an elementary class (not surprising). Honestly, not much has changed other than my school schedule. Hope your parents get better, it's a terrible thing to get a virus like that so close to flu season.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for their parents, I hope they get better soon!

My country went from having one of the strictest rules to one of the most confusing and always changing rules. My part is orange according to our standards, the whole country is red according to European standards. I had one day off work, had home office and later started to work as before, just way before almost everyone. I went from risk group to not risk group every few weeks. A lot of people I know and I was in contact with had been in contact with confirmed cases but I was never tested and I didn't get it. A relative I didn't know died of it. This week schools and universities are changing to orange too (they stayed yellow while the whole city was orange for some reason) because we had a new record of new cases again. Yay.

Oh no we hope your parents are ok that must be horrible :c

Our grandma spent a few days in hospital the other week, not covid related but we weren't allowed to visit her because of covid restrictions :c Couldn't even go in the ambulance with her. She's very old and has dementia so it must have been horrible for her to be alone and confused with no one she knows. Luckily she doesn't remember any of it.

And work just...sucks. We work in a busy shop and exactly none of the customers care about distancing or wearing a mask properly. We've been called all sorts of names and insulted so many times for taking a step back when they decide they need to remove their mask and stand nose-to-nose to ask us a question. Or listen. The people that remove their mask to listen are the second worst behind the people that just wear one as a chin warmer :D
We were called a psycho today for waiting for a customer to move before putting some stock out (we think? Not really sure how we upset them). Then every time we bumped into them around the shop they started shouting stuff like "oh no it's the psycho should I climb the shelves to get away from you?!" and purposely standing as close to us as possible. One the other day said it was fine for them to nudge us out the way to get to something because they're a customer and we get paid to be there.
It's a good thing you're immune to covid when you're wearing a uniform or we'd be really stressed out :c

I wish your parents a quick recovery! It's a really bad time in general. :/ We're all pretty sure one of my teammates got covid way back in February before anyone in the US was starting to look for cases. She had a really bad respiratory infection that we all assumed to be bronchitis but was never diagnosed even though she went to a doctor. It took her months to fully get back to normal. Which means I've been exposed because I was in close quarters with her for a while. Never fully indoors, and no one else on the team or anyone else I've been in contact with has gotten sick, but there is that.

My university has been pretty good with cases, never more than 20 active cases at once. We currently only have 2 active cases. It's a pretty small school but still large enough that that's an impressively small number. I just. Despise online classes and I despised quarantine and I desperately wish neither were necessary. *sigh* Like everyone else, I want this whole thing to be over as quickly as possible. I'm barely functional in isolation, it's just miserable.

Sadly, I have lost a family member and a friend i held close to me. My uncle, and a friend I shall not name because of social media. All I can say is that he was one of my older friends who I talked to, even after moving far away. I have a person in my flute section currently in the Hospital because her symptoms got worse last week. She's coming around and I hope we can see her before marching competition. ((Although I highly doubt it))

Classes and schedules are getting absolutely destroyed. Some teachers have to teach EXTRA periods because there are just so many students moving into town. They're trying to keep us all social distanced and safe. We even have THREE lunch periods, How crazy is that?

Honestly I'm pretty lucky, as far as I know, no one I know personally has Covid, I just don't like being stuck at home all day

Nobody I know has it, or has had it. Fam is all but extremely healthy. I only work with about 10 people, and we're all good. So it hasn't effected my life in that way. Had a scare though. Had to be off work for four days to get tested. That sucked.

How really covid destroyed my life this year though is everything ELSE. No anime conventions = no chance to sell things = no money. So I'm living without a normal amount of money I would've had by now. And that's hitting me hard with moving into an apartment by myself.

Everything else though? Is totally normal. Just have to wear a mask everywhere I go.
