Signups might be officially closed, but I wouldn't mind squeezing you in! The actual runtime of the adventure has been delayed due to some real-world troubles-- I must've forgotten to update the discussion thread!

This is a bit of a check-in, since... oh boy do I have an update for you. As does the game-- it's the world map update! [b]TL;DR: since I want the CYOA to be canon-compliant with the world map update, I need to go back and revise some stuff, but I'm otherwise making good progress.[/b] My intention with the CYOA was to have it "canon-compliant" with the world of Sornieth, and now that the world is changed... well, there's some good news and bad news. The good news is, hey, we've got new lore to play with! The bad news is much more complicated, though. To sum up, there's a few discrepancies I've gotta sort out: [LIST] [*] The camp that everyone's set up as a base of operations looks... literally [i]exactly[/i] like the Collonades of Antiquity. It functions much the same way, too. [s]Can't believe Flight Rising plagiarized my brain... /j[/s] [/LIST] [center][map poi=69 view=land width=400 height=150][/map][/center] [LIST] [*] This one's more minor, but still prominent enough that it'll necessitate some rewriting: the Emperor was originally trapped in a gorge branching off of Greatwyrm's Breach, which has suddenly become a much more interesting location. Namely, that's probably now somewhere nearby the Parched Canyonwalks-- apparently a hot tourist destination-- and that's probably also somewhere nearby Terraclae, one of the biggest cities in the region. [*] ...and of course we've got to bring Luminax up, right? [/LIST] There's a couple other things that I might end up factoring in-- the Sanctums and the Oculus, the Pox Consulate also being unnervingly close-- but those won't outright require me to rewrite anything that's already done. But what will I do about those other points? [LIST] [*] I want to be quite clear: I know full well that one of the options available to me is to ignore the new World Map lore entirely, which I will [i]not[/i] be doing. I really enjoy the new lore, and I'd love to work it in! Plus, I can [i]point actual locations out on the map!![/i] How cool is that? [*] The base of operations will now be taking place [b]in and around the Collonades of Antiquity.[/b] This one's a pretty easy revision to make, since... well, the description of the camp kind of just describes the Collonades. All I need to do is namedrop it a few times. [*] I can probably factor in the Parched Canyonwalks and Terraclae with little change. If anything, it'll probably be fun, having more settlements to play with! [*] ...alright, I'm just gonna admit I have no idea what to do with Luminax. Do we ignore it? Pretend Luminax has been slain already? I'm open to suggestions, but I [i]think[/i] I'm tending towards "set this at a time when Luminax is still around but kind of normalized".
