A Sled Dog Spirit and
Doe of Deadwood are very good webcomics featuring animals. ASDS is about a pack of sled dogs who are abandoned by humanity and must survive on their own, and Doe of Deadwood is about a lonely doe who is bound to serve a demon tree.
EDIT: ASDS is ongoing, and Doe of Deadwood is complete.

Live for today, gone tomorrow.
That's me.
I used to read this one comic called Fox Fires. It's both fantasy and has animals. It centers around Finnish mythology. It's about a raccoon dog who is trying to bring back these mythical events called fox fires and she meets a lot of interesting animals and creatures along the way. You can find it on Webtoon. The art style is really pretty!

I got two suggestions on top of my mind.
Faux Pas. It's about a fox named Randy who is an actor and lives on a farm together with other animals trained for acting. He eventually also comes across some wild foxes.
It's a pretty funny comic and has a neat artstyle.
Housepets. It's about, well, housepets. Mostly about a dog named Peanut Butter and a cat named Grape Jelly. It starts out being mostly slice of life, and frequently returns to that, but there have been some large story arcs in-between.
While the animals are drawn in a somewhat anthro style, and can talk to humans, they still are pretty mcuh acting like animals. There are a lot of cultural diffrences between the pets and wild animals, and of course also differences between species.
Mhh, I should add both to my Xenofiction hub later.
And I can totally second Wurr. It's honestly one of the best examples of xenofiction I've ever seen in comic form. Love it.

Its violent and has body horror and animal death so big TW but one of my favorite comics is Beasts of Burden, about a group of dogs (and a cat) protecting their homes from the supernatural. It's a Dark Horse comic but it's easy to find scans online

Don't know if this counts, but Dog Man is a good graphic novel series. It follows a cop with a dog's head's mission to rid his city from evil. It's pretty ridiculous (exactly what you'd expect from the person who wrote Captain Underpants), but there are actually some good laughs and deep concepts.

Nightrizer on DA has a comic they've made, cover page here:
https://www.deviantart.com/nightrizer/art/Cinderstone-ECLIPZA-Cover-271418889
You can click to the next page on each page, so even though it's on DA I think it stil counts. I love it but it's not being updated much anymore just due to the artist being so busy.
Here's a few:
*Warning for these - graphic content (violence/gore).

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but Usagi Yojimbo is cool. It's feudal times samurai-type adventures but with little anthro animals instead of humans. The main character is a rabbit. There may have been some graphic content but it was safe enough to be in a HS library so

You just reminded me I still have yet to purchase a queer book which focuses on someone who adopts a rescue dog without legs
