TOPIC | Favorite types of bugs??

Because I keep seeing threads where people talk about their favorite animals.
Tell me what your favorite bug is! Facts about them are also very appreciated by me!
My favorite bug is an American cockroach (periplaneta americana). It's an unusual choice but that's just the thing that drew me to them! They're probably the most widely hated insect out there and they're overlooked as not being very interesting, and I felt like someone out there had to love them.
Despite being called an American cockroach they're actually from Africa, and they only got to other places by riding around on boats with humans. They're super adaptable and resilient, and they're almost impossible to get rid of!

If I don't respond it's because I'm either working or busy, I promise I'm not ignoring you.
Also I'm sorry if I ever sound rude, I'm not trying to be, I'm just socially awkward.
ah! I myself am fond of dubia roaches- as I keep a colony of them as feeder insects, and have found them to be very charming. I think my other favorite, however, is moths- although at a distance. I get startled by fast moving flying / jumping things, so while I greatly enjoy their looks, I can get spooked by them easily.

I think just in general though, there are not many bugs I dislike- I think a lot of bugs can be charming + endearing, if you spend enough time around them.

Bees are cute and make the world a more beautiful place, what's not to love? Except stings, but they won't bother you if you don't bother them.

I love rosy maple moths! Moths in general are great but rosy maples are just so cute!

On the slightly less cute side, I love wasps too. I think they're cute and pretty chill if you leave them alone. My favs are the ones that lay eggs in spiders.

[font=American Gothic][size=4]I love all bugs, but I must admit I am fond of any and all parasites/parasitoids. [emoji=fae tongue size=1]

I like most butterflies, and sweat flies are kinda neat too. They're often mistaken for bees because of the fact that they're black and yellow, but they're actually a type of fly and are completely harmless. They always buzz around in the fields when I'm working out.
