I'm still not sure I want to see the show. Usually tv shows/movies ruin the books for me :(

!!!!!! I'm incredibly excited about the TV show. I read both The Grisha Trilogy and the Six of Crows duology in middle school, so seeing these characters come to life on screen is just... mind-boggling to me. It feels like a dream come true. The show itself looks wonderfully well-done and in good quality too, which is not what I expected. I was 100% prepared for bad effects and costumes that looked subpar LOL. While I didn't like the S&B books as much as SoC, Nikolai Lantsov quickly became one of my absolute favorite characters when I was younger when he made his debut in Siege and Storm. I still have a soft spot for him (especially after having read his spin-off duology) and hope the show gets renewed for a second season so he can make an appearance. From what I'm hearing, the showrunners took some of the not-so-great parts from S&B and greatly improved them, so I have hope. Six of Crows, however, is my second favorite series of all time. I reread it last year and mmMMM it was just as good, if not even better than I had remembered! My favorite of the Crows is probably Inej, with Kaz as a close second. [emoji=special eyes size=1]

I still have a lot of apprehension about this series ... if it fails, the book community will drag it on for years, like "oh, are you a fan of that? I saw the series, c 'is bad ... "And I must admit that the fact that they lightwashed Jesper and made Nina thinner annoys me a bit, I liked the fact that she was not in this kind of anorexia like all YA characters. And then, until Nikolai appeared, I really wasn't a Grisha fan (I had read SoC first.) So ... I think the second season (Bardugo implied that there would have a sequel.) will be better if it is a second season ago. Because we will have Nikolai, probably more screentime for Ninattias and their characters in general, and Wylan Van Sunshine. (Not sure we'll get any Wesper, though.)

On the other hand, I think I fell in love with the actress who plays Inej. She's so badas', just in the trailers, but if we see her fighting (But like a real fight like against Dunyasha, not just "silent murders".) I could die in peace.

(The fact that the Darkling actor has a beard is going to make his relationship with Alina even more disturbing, since he was portrayed looking relatively young in the books, which might partly excuse his relationship with a kid. 16-year-old knowing he was 100+. But there?)

Oh they're making a TV show out of it? I loved that book- not sure if the show would ruin it but I may have to give it a try!
I'm still not sure I want to see the show. Usually tv shows/movies ruin the books for me :(
I agree, I love the series but adapting books into a tv show often involves a lot of changes to make it more appealing to the general public. I'll try it out but I don't have high hopes

I've never gotten into Six of Crows, but I absolutely enjoyed the Shadow and Bone series, so I'm super hyped about their storyline :0 Its the one thing I've been looking forward to for the past few months! Hopefully Netflix doesn't disappoint.

I'm certainly going to have to give it another go, and another reread ^^

I love Six of Crows!! Funnily enough I was just rereading it too. I kinda paused with crooked kingdom though lol. I actually got to meet the author and go to one of her signings years ago which was really cool.

Honestly I'm hopeful for the show, it looks like they're doing a pretty good job so I'm at least interested to see what they do with it. I personally didn't like the grisha trilogy quite as much as SoC, but it's still good and I adore the grishaverse so I'll definitely be watching and hopefully won't get disappointed :')

I think it's a pretty good series to get adapted, particularly Six of Crows, since there isn't too many parts that need cgi and that kinda stuff.
