I didn't see a thread for the new Loki TV show, which seems like quite the crime to me, so I decided to take matters into my own hands!

Wanted to make this to discuss theories, memes, fav characters, headcanons, etc etc, so yeah!

No rules just be kind and considerate, and please put a spoilers warning if you can!

POTENTIAL SPOILERS

Why do some agents have names (Casey, Mobius, Renslayer), but then some don't? do they get to pick their own names? Did Casey look at a case file and decide that was the only name for him? Did Mobius write down Mobius as his name but then get told he needed to have a first, middle, and last if he wanted to name himself, so he just wrote it down two more times? Does B-15 have a name, but B-15 is just her agent name? Renslayer????

dude I love Loki with my life but I feel like the show just ruined marvel for me. I was talking with my friend about this and I mentioned how nothing really mattered in ths timeline because of how it was planned by the tva. he went on to say that’s why he hasn’t watched it and is sad that tonys death didn’t really matter if they were just controlling the whole thing. also the Loki variant ended up being disappointing to me cause I was hoping for a clone of Loki himself not something else completely unexpected.

I don’t have a problem with blonde gal Loki though, I was kinda expecting the usual generic hot Lady Loki so she’s a nice change.

I'm waiting on watching the second ep bc I was going to watch it with the people I live with haha. I liked the first episode well enough though! I immediately latched onto Mobius, I really like his character and I'm excited to see more of him, Owen Wilson does just a fantastic job portraying him :> (I kind of want to do a cosplay of him as well, maybe for a convention in the coming year or two lol)

I'm not super up to date on comics lore (and obviously various comic details get omitted when they adapt them to screen), but from what I understand the TVA agents are "procedurally generated" so to speak, and created to do their specific jobs, so that may be why B-15 is potentially just B-15.

Also re: Lady Loki, I saw people on other sites pointing out she's credited as "Sylvie" which may be pointing to her instead being the Sylvie Lushton version of Marvel's Enchantress character. I'd personally be inclined to believe that, and that perhaps she's also a stand-in for the Lady Loki variant (i.e. she's sort of a combination of the Enchantress character with some of Lady Loki's characterization)

sorry for the ramble, just some thoughts and some stuff that I had heard from around the internet. overall I'm excited to see where the show goes; I enjoyed what I've seen of WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier even tho I've been burnt out on most Marvel stuff for a while, so looking forward to more of Loki!

@antelope I was gonna mention I thought she might be Amora/The Enchantress. Thanks for bringing it up. I guess we'll see.

In the comics, THAT Renslayer is also from a divergent timeline (Earth 6311) rather than the prime Marvel Universe (Earth 616).

I love Loki a lot, but I definitely prefer the Loki who died a hero (don't get me wrong, I HATE that he died, but his storyline ended well enough). This Loki kinda annoys me, for some reason. We all know he's pretty smart, but I feel like he's so much for arrogant and 2D than he was before. Idk, I just don't jive with him as much

That's ironic because I was sitting through the first two episodes before the big reveal hoping that it wasn't going to be a Loki clone of a character we all know and love, so I was really happy when the Variant turned out to be a vastly different and new character haha

Sylvie is really growing on me! She's neat and she's funny imo, and her outfit is *chefs kiss*

Owen Wilson does a FANTASTIC job at portraying Mobius, and every line he says is perfectly delivered. You should totally cosplay him! That'd be epic!

Yeah, I'm sure B-15 is just B-15 because that's her job, it was just interesting to me how some TVA agents have names, but others don't.

I know next to nothing about the comics, unfortunately, and I feel like there's too many for me to even begin reading them, but I did some research and I do think that Sylvie is the MCU's rendition of her comic counterpart, from what I can tell at least

I really enjoyed Wandavision, far more than I thought I would, and TFATWS was also pretty good, so I'm hoping Loki will end the same.

SPOILERS FOR THE THIRD EPISODE

Ok. I have a lot of feelings about this episode, and not all of them are good.

First off, Loki is canonically bi in the comics, and now he also is in the MCU, but will they commit to it? Should they? This entire episode felt pretty forced to me, and it seemed like a fuller, not really uber important to the plot.

Also it seems as though the writers are implying romantic feelings between Loki and Sylvie, at least from where I am standing, so I don't really know how to feel about that

Other than that, the episode was pretty good, Sylvie is an absolute ICON and she continues to amaze me, and the scene where Loki was drunk and singing while she looked really uncomfortable absolutely Took Me Out.
