As far as I'm aware it doesn't exist, and if it does, people don't care about it.

@Blackclover I think it does exist, and I'm pretty sure ppl celebrate it but not near as much as LGBT+ I wish ppl celebrated it more since I do have autism but eh what can ya do about it

It's in April, right? As an autistic person I don't like it. A lot of people use it as an excuse to act like we're victims of some horrible disease, and there's a lot of fundraising for 'charities' that wish to harm us.
It's not exactly a pride month, considering most people use 'awareness' in place of actual acceptance and change, but I think that July is actually disability pride month (not sure if it's official or just celebrated in disabled spaces), which includes autism. I much prefer pride over awareness anyway, considering that most awareness is just fear-mongering disguised as genuine concern.

Huh I didn't know about that, and yes its in april. And yeah I guess thinking about what t now I don't really like it either, I don't really like being treated like I'm the victim of a horrible disease

As an autistic person autism awareness month seems more for the parents of autistic kids then the autistic community as a whole.
Didnt Autism Speaks start it? If so the whole vibes of it makes sense since it claims to speak on the behalf of autistic people rather than letting autistic people speak for themselves.
Like if it really was for autistic people, it wouldn't be called awareness, I'm pretty aware I'm autistic thanks.

However, awareness makes autism be painted in a negative light and something to be cured, which the vast majority of autistic people do not want to be. So, Autism Acceptance Month is what should be celebrated instead, as the focus is on accepting autistic people (the color used for Autism Acceptance is red as opposed to the blue that's used with Autism Awareness).

I don't really have the energy to go into why so many people hate them (because there's a lot of reasons but there are plenty of YouTube videos that go in-depth about all of it.

But during this month a lot of people also like to do fun activities surrounding autism like reviewing/recommending books with autistic rep or celebrating famous autistic people or just sharing anecdotes or little drawings and comics about their experiences with autism :)
