Whoops, wasn't expecting to contribute to this forum trend but here goes nothing.

I'm not sure if I'm looking in the wrong places here or what, but I hardly seem to notice many talking about them which surprised me a bit. At least in every music discussion thread there is, in which I'm always the only person mentioning them... and every other artist I like. So... Beatles fans? Are y'all there? Drinking lots of water, I hope?

I've listened to all their albums, loved them all, with White Album and Abbey Road tied for my favorite. Right now I'm in a bit of a solo Beatles phase (taking a bit of a break from the Beatles) and I've listened to most George Harrison albums, and at this point almost all Paul McCartney albums + Wings. I still want to get into John Lennon's and Ringo Starr's solo stuff at one point or another, though I keep procrastinating on it. On that topic, Driving Rain is my favorite Paul album by far, but I haven't quite decided on my favorite George one (might need to hear more before I make a decision.)
What about you guys? ... Just on the chance a good amount of people reply to this and I don't end up embarrassing myself fwejgwgj. Before anyone mentions it, I am indeed aware of some controversies surrounding certain members, but I want this to be more of a discussion of their music and not who they are as people, hope that makes sense.

Hi, I'm Fruit! I'm a digital artist, amateur fiction writer, aspiring musician (bass), but most of all: a professional idiot. My two favorite things are rock 'n roll and frillback pigeons.

Hello yes George is best Beatle. [emoji=rhino beetle size=1] Also "All Things Must Pass" is his best solo album and "Here Comes the Sun" is his best song with the Beatles. Sidenote; Ringo is underrated. Anyway, pretty much been a Beatles fan since before I actually developed any of my own tastes in music. Still enjoy them from time to time and its always fun branching out to see what solo material they did. (Hooray Traveling Wilburys!) Also in this vein I must present: the greatest cover of a George Harrison song ever.

@Madarakita For me, I think All Things Must Pass is definitely up there! The Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp is one of my favorite songs of all time and overall it's a great experience to listen to it every time.

True, for the most part his solo work is hardly even noticed compared to the other Beatles' (guess I'm a tad guilty for this). I believe there's some reasons for it, but people who say he's the worst Beatle are just plain wrong. They just wouldn't be the same without his personality and acting charisma imo.

On the other hand, though, I think I only started listening to the Beatles when I was 11 or 12. Before then I just listened to whatever, but then when my dad started showing me some Hollies songs I was like "wait a minute... I like this" and suddenly remembered Strawberry Fields Forever which he showed me when I was real young. I should totally check out the Traveling Wilburys at some point, right now I just have one song by them that I happened to get in my discover weekly (New Blue Moon.)

Anyway, thanks for showing that video! I've seen some other Weird Al George Harrison stuff before but not this, and it made me really happy. What a funny (especially the part when he started taking a selfie with the crowd. lol!) and yet sincere performance, both his singing and the other peoples' playing were really good. What Is Life is a great song from that album and this does not fall short.

@MorenaFlame I really like that song, the story and lyrics are so good. I loved it's inclusion in Paul's movie Give My Regards To Broad Street.

@TwoDucks Haha, I think I agree. I know a lot of people don't really like it, but personally I think it helps a lot with the flow of the album. With a lot of grand and serious songs, it works to have a silly one every now and then. (Although from what I heard Paul was the only one who agreed to the idea and the others really hated recording it. Whoops)

@butterflyflower Ooo, I'm kinda curious now. Care to share the name of the book? I think my dad got me a lyric book a while back (which I think was more of a discussion on the song meanings and whatnot), but I haven't read it yet. I probably should at some point.

The Beatles Illustrated Lyrics! I've always looked at it just to see the illustrations myself, tbh.
