Not sure how to title it, but... what are some ""strange"" interests you have? I'll go. I really like to find weird stuff of Google Earth with the coordinates. One of the strangest things to me is those mysterious patterns in deserts! I'm sure it's meant for satellite calibration, but still funky!! My interest in whump/sickfic probably qualifies. I'm a big fan of vulnerability in fiction, and if a triple-digit fever is what it takes to knock down a character's walls than so be it. (And I've found that in writing my proud, stubborn faves, this is the most effective approach.) It's great stuff for character/relationship development.

And there's this... incredible tenderness to me about it. About the notion of one being seen at their worst and met with love and compassion. It's very cathartic.

"Luvdisc's heart-shaped body is a symbol of love and romance. It is said that any couple meeting this Pokémon is promised a loving relationship that never ends."

I have a minor obsession with Japan "local heroes". Think stuff like Kamen Rider, Ultraman, Super Sentai, etc. but specifically about a businesses, careers, restaurants, etc. Not all of them have shows, but some get locally made web series or short films, others are just used to promote something or pop up at events, and I adore all of it.

Does aspiring to make videos with plastic horses count?
Edit: Forgot add that that triangle is super nifty to me for some reason <3
Another Very Important Edit: “that that”

for me it's probably lost media. I'm not involved in searches myself, but I love watching lost media videos. Blameitonjorge has dragged me down the lost media and other oddities rabbit hole and I absolutely love it.
also, the Society of Explorers and Adventurers that keeps popping up in Disney parks and has this huge overarching hidden lore. Offhand Disney's videos on that topic never fail to catch my attention and make me laugh (Jean Lafitte!). tbh I'm just a big fan of overarching hidden lore in general.

Hmmm... well, I used to be obsessed with taxidermy to an unhealthy degree, which was always perceived as extremely strange by most others around me at the time, and was always taking roadkill apart. I decorated my room with pelts and had skulls on my shelves, and would often have a jawbone or something in my pocket. This was during my school years, and needless to say, I didn't make many friends back then. Now I can't even bear seeing dead animals or anything relating to death so I've changed a lot in that regard! I still have a lot of strange interests like mushroom foraging, fursuit making, Japanese fashion and teddy collecting that I seem to alternate being obsessed with and am always picking up more. I suppose I'm just a strange person! And now I'm obsessed with an online game where you collect colourful virtual dragons, can you even imagine? [emoji=mirror laughing size=1]

i am absolutely obsessed with the concept of computer viruses and malware, to the point where it affects my identity because i relate so much to it. there are even certain viruses that i'm more attached to than others, for example magistr (a lot of the ones in the 98-XP era). there was a project i was working on that was basically just sentient viruses learning how to have feelings and stuff. i still have my eyes on that project because i think it's super awesome.

there's actually a joke i have with my close friends that i'm actually some weird discord virus bot that's just trying to make friends,,,

even though its a complete toss-up of whether or not i'll remember my virus facts if you asked me, i'm sure i'll be able to talk about them as much as i could haha

@tonyboyy oooohh do you watch danooct1 by any chance? DOS viruses are so funny, they just like to mess with the victim instead of getting straight to the point and asking for money haha -- I'm super into retro games! The older, the more interesting! The history of video games is a subject I've researched completely out of interest, I'm really interested in how games work on different hardware with all kinds of limitations. When I say retro I mean as old as the first ever recorded game and as new as 1980s computer games. It's not the gameplay that interests me in those games, it's just the fact that they exist, and some incredibly intelligent person coded them on punch cards using their own blueprints as a reference. One mistake, you start all over. But the Atari 2600 era games weren't much easier- programmed in what might as well be described as raw machine code and saved on tapes. One tiny scratch on the tape, the game is corrupted for good. My dad actually coded games and 2D&3D animations for the ZX-Spectrum! It used cassettes as well, and assembly as its programming language. These things are just super amazing to me, game devs back then had to be super dedicated - simply knowing a programming language wasn't enough. First ever games required more engineering knowledge than coding knowledge, since the hardware was designed specifically for the game. I guess it's not that weird of an interest but I am very very obsessed with retro games [emoji=coatl tongue size=1]

I collect animal bones and skulls. I'm interested in bone preparation, leather tanning and death process *dark scary music*

I am also obsessed with Marvel's Loki: I collect figurines, posters, T-shirts, gadgets such as mugs, pillows, etc. Even in Flight Rising, I have a couple of Loki's fandragons ... one is not enough.
